Spoilers for last nights episode
Oh, how we lost our minds,
When we fell in love that night,
Promise me you won't cry,
This is our last goodbye.
~ Ke$ha
All the goodbyes had been dreadful. Even saying goodbye to KT had taken its toll on her. She knew even though saying goodbye to Joy would be hard, even though they could still see each other. Just because Patricia had been expelled, did not mean she would lose her best friend.
Then came the last goodbye. The one Patricia didn't want to have. This was it. After today he'd be gone, out of her life forever. They'd not keep in touch, even if she might have wanted to. Why would they after all? She broke up with him, no explanation, just a we're over, and that was it.
This one would be the hardest. She let him in. She fell in love with him. Then she destroyed it. She broke up with him. She was miserable without him, though she would never admit it. She would never say or do anything to try and fix it, she didn't know how he'd respond for one thing. So she kept pretending she was fine with it. Fine that she had broken up with Eddie, like she never even cared about him.
He'd be gone from her life forever soon enough. His dad had booked a flight back to America. He'd soon be across the ocean, thousands of miles between them. The mess she had made would never be able to be cleaned up. This was the end for them. It'd all be over. Forever.
Soon enough her goodbye with Joy was over, and it was now time to face him. It was time to say goodbye to Eddie. She loved him and she lost him. It was far too late to fix things now.
"Guess that you get your wish Yacker. You never have to see me again," he was the first to speak. She wanted to scream, and say she didn't want that to be it, that she wanted to see him again. That she didn't want this to be the end.
"Guess I did," she forced herself to say. She could've said anything, but all she mustered out was about how she got her wish. She'd give anything for the wish to not have been coming true. He didn't say anything, and she'd do anything just to hug him. She resisted it would be weird. She knew it would be weird.
'Screw it,' she finally decided. She was just about to step forward to hug him when Willow spoke up
"I've been thinking maybe we can just skip the governors and go straight to the queen," she said.
"Willow," Jerome was the next to say anything. His thought wasn't completed before Trudy stepped in.
"Taxis are here," she spoke quietly, as if she wished she was delivering different news. That was it. It was over. They were done. They'd be split apart forever, and they didn't even have a proper goodbye.
"We won't give up guys I promise," Mara vowed.
"Oh come here loves," Trudy called with open arms ready to pull the Anubis Five into a group hug. That was it. That's the closest Patricia would get to hugging Eddie goodbye. This was the hardest goodbye.
And if you saw last night, you know what happens next. I didn't want to write that? This was supposed to be peddie angst so...
I didn't update Nothing Personal yesterday because reasons. If you want to know those reasons you can scroll through my fandom IG, MusicalWheaten. and find the post I made about it. I will update next week though...
