I was bored in class today, so I asked my friend for five words for a drabble. The words are: pancakes, rose, overestimation, colored hair, sympathy.

A Single Red Rose
She woke up to the smell of freshly baked pancakes, waving through the room. Yawning, she opened her eyes and saw her husband standing at the side of the bed. In his hands, he held a single red rose. „Happy birthday", he said. She smiled and took his hand to pull him down next to her. He kissed her forehead and gently pushed aside a lock of her candy-colored hair. He was glad to be there, next to his beautiful, happily smiling wife. He was glad that he had overestimated his own ability to stay away from her. He was glad she had fought for him. He was glad that the feeling he had mistaken for simple sympathy had turned into love.
