Promises
Chapter 1
Summary- Ethan swore on his daughter's coffin that he would remain faithful to Gwen..will he keep his promise? (Gwen and Theresa friendship!)
A year had past since the tragedy in L.A., where Gwen lost her baby. Ethan had kept his promise to Gwen, and hadn't spoken to Theresa in the past year. However, in his heart he would never stop loving her.
The court had given back Theresa custody of her son, after Ethan had been secretly funding her case. Sometimes when he would see Theresa and Little Ethan around Harmony, he thought of how much he loved her, and wanted to be a part of her life, as well as Little Ethan's. But then he would remind himself of the promise he made on his daughter's coffin... and how he would remain loyal to that promise.
It was a chilly, crisp December afternoon and Ethan and Gwen were at the Book Café eating lunch with Sheridan. The two girls laughed and gossiped, while Ethan just sat there feeling quite out of place. That was until Theresa caught his eye. He saw that she was accompanied by a man..and that man was Fox.
Jealousy rushed through him and his love for Theresa was stronger than ever. Fox and Theresa kissed and held hands and Ethan just stared. He stared and wished that he was in Fox's place. That was until he was interrupted by Gwen.
"Ethan, what were you staring at?" Gwen questioned.
Before Ethan could answer her question Gwen saw Theresa and her smile turned into a frown.
"Ethan.please tell me that you weren't staring at Theresa" Gwen demanded.
"Gwen, I.I" Ethan stuttered nervously.
"That's what I thought," She whispered as a single tear ran down her cheek, "Ethan, I guess I've been lying to myself all along. You don't love me, you love Theresa. I don't want to be in a marriage where I am my husband's second choice." Gwen shouted.
Gwen took off her wedding ring and threw it at Ethan for a second time.
"Good-bye Ethan," She whimpered tearfully, as she grabbed her coat and exited the Book Café.
Silently, Sheridan stood up, gave Ethan a dirty look and followed her best friend.
Now, Gwen had created quite the scene inside the café. Two Harmony residents in particular stood quietly watching the commotion. Those two people were Theresa and Hank.
