Prologue

I wish I could explain all the weird things that are about to happen and can't really be explained but I can't, I have no idea how, but I'll try. Jaylene Elizabeth Lynn, the setting is 2014 and as of that moment I am eighteen and finishing - more or less trying to - my senior year. I have three friends at this time, Annalise Marie who is seventeen, Avery Jacobs who is also eighteen, and my History teacher Robin Locksley. My story begins with them, and ends with me, whether it be my death or someone else's. Either way it's a price worth paying. You should know why I write this and why it matters; I work in the shadows so that innocents may live to see another day, so humanity's freedom may prosper. Heh, freedom. It's such a common thing we all want to have but the price to pay to get the freedom we want, the fight... It leaves everyone and everything broken, except maybe, but just maybe, the future. Let's focus now and get to the point, I want you to read this whole story, maybe gauge the emotions within it, but concentrate on what I'm trying to tell you, and most of all I wish for you to understand why it's important that I'm telling you this. Now, shall we begin?
