Being in remission had offered Beca Mitchell a form of hope that she had previously lived without. It had encouraged her to pursue a college degree even though the musician hoped she'd never have any use for it. If anything it would make her more worldly or cultured. The young woman had snuck into Atlanta during the dead of night, not wanting her family and remaining friends to treat her like a delicate little snowflake. She'd been in remission for six months and that was enough for her to dedicate herself to putting her life together, even if it turned out to be a temporary thing. When the brunette finally ambled from her cab to her dorm she found it empty, a fact which pulled a sigh of relief from her lips. She really couldn't handle any introductions right now, longing to go to sleep and not wake up for a day or so.
Chemotherapy had destroyed her stamina and with exhaustion brought intolerance. The brunette often snapped over tiny things unnecessarily or became a recluse when things became too much for her to handle. The young woman had been adjusting her diet, trying to eat healthy and exercise more often but even that was taking a long time to make a difference. Beca had been told she wasn't a candidate for steroid injections due to the potential of increased abnormal cell growth, meaning that if she wasn't completely cancer free she'd be knocking on death's door within a matter of weeks instead of months.
After unpacking her linen the young musician slipped her headphones over her head and laid down. Beca had gotten into DJing as a result of her illness, finding that it wasn't particularly physically taxing and allowed her an emotional and creative outlet. Within a matter of minutes the tunes had managed to lull her to sleep, a fact which she'd ultimately be grateful for considering how busy her next day would be.

Aubrey had been battering any female that she considered even remotely attractive throughout the entire morning, leaving Chloe to sit down and watch as her friend tried to recruit new members to their little group. After last year's embarrassment the strawberry blonde wouldn't blame anyone for not wanting to join. She hoped that they would find some more singers, unable to handle the idea of Aubrey going an entire year without a creative outlet to pour her control issues into. Living with her was scary enough already. At least so far they had two definitely auditions, it wasn't much but it was a start.
Chloe looked up as she heard Aubrey let out an excited squeal. After the blonde had dropped the fliers on their make-shift stall, she'd taken a running start towards an unfamiliar and particularly scrawny brunette. The tanner woman arched her eyebrow at the pair, wondering if this was the blonde's idea of coming out. The brunette was certainly attractive enough for the red head to take a lingering look. Eventually they approached and the woman raised her eyes, polite smile spreading across her lips. "Chloe this is my sister Beca".
"I didn't know you had a sister," the woman spoke before extending her hand and gently shaking the stranger's. Looking between them there wasn't a shred of evidence to prove that they could even be cousins, their bone structure and hair colours being completely different. The only thing that was similar between them was their eyes. That didn't stop the red head from looking at the brunette though, often having an odd fixation on anyone that she considered attractive.
"We're not genetic thank god. Our parents got married early last year so we're step sisters," Beca explained before nervously scratching the back of her head as she looked the woman before her over. The musician was struggling not to stare or make a lewd comment, uncertain how Aubrey could still be straight hanging around a girl who looked this damn good. Meanwhile Chloe was mentally planning to ask the blonde about her sibling later, thinking it would be less awkward that way. "Aubrey's told me a lot about you. Nice to know there's someone here to help reign her in".
"I'm not that terrible!" Aubrey argued before frowning at her sibling and huffing like a toddler. "So are you going to audition? I mean, I know what Papa said but I really think that it would be good for you to pick a club and learn to socialize," the blonde said with a small laugh before poking the woman in the ribs. It was then that she looked from Beca's ribs and back up to her eyes with an apologetic glance. Chloe couldn't help but arch her eyebrow, what the fuck was that all about?
"I saw the wedding. You practically lost your shit when the step-monster spilled red wine on her dress," Beca joked before shaking her head slightly when she caught the blonde's glance. Now was not the time nor the place for apologies. She was fine, just a little tender. "Maybe. Also his name is Noah or Dad. No more of this papa nonsense, it sounds weird and creepy," the musician laughed before licking her lips as she heard music blast from the opposite side of the campus, drawing her away from the conversation at hand. "I might swing by. I'll catch you later Hannah Montana," Beca laughed before passing her. "Nice to meet you too Red".
Aubrey was seething with rage when the woman walked away.
"Why does she call you that?" Chloe asked hesitantly, not wanting to cause and Aubrey Posen melt down of any way shape or form. Something about the two told her they didn't have the smoothest of relationships, they were almost complete opposites when it came to what she'd learned through their conversation before her.
"She always joked that Barden was my second life. She's only a year younger than us, starting a little late because of some things," the Bellas captain replied before giving a small smile. It wasn't her place to inform Chloe of Beca's illness and she didn't want to put her sister in any form of awkward situation because of something she'd said. "Think you two would get along nicely to be honest. If you can look through the alt girl clothes and the scary ear spike".

Beca hadn't expected her room mate to be waiting for her when arrived back at her dorm room. The woman stood across from her with a stern expression. It wasn't quite one of mindless vacancy but there was no emotion there, not even when she looked into the woman's eyes. It scared the brunette a little as she stepped forward to introduce herself, dropping her bag on her dresser. "Hey I'm Beca. Guess we'll be sharing a room. What's your name?" the woman asked. No response. "Do you speak English?" Nothing. "Just let me know where you're at with English," she spoke as her cheeks stained pink with embarrassment.
"Kimmy Jin from Korea and yes I speak English. Just keep the place clean and your friends visiting times respectable," the woman spoke with a monotone voice. Within a matter of seconds the woman left the room, mentioning something about visiting her brother and meeting his new boyfriend. Beca nodded to herself before setting about setting up the room. She'd want the place to be at least semi-respectable if Aubrey was going to be dropping by to check up on her. Unfortunately her decks had other opinions and by time she'd managed to set up a decent electric connection, there were wires pretty much everywhere. Oh well. She'd tried.
After messing around with a mix for what seems like a few minutes but turns out to be hours, Beca finally gets out of her computer chair and stretches. Several of her joints crack from the effort but she doesn't worry because none of them instantly ache. Looking over at her suitcase she slowly unpacks her things and gets ready for a shower. Dressed in only her bathrobe, the brunette gets lost about five times before managing to locate the facilities. Why would they have the toilets and showers separate she has no idea but at least she'd know for next time.
Stepping under the warm water, Beca began singing Titanium by David Guetta. She'd been working on a mix which incorporated the song and it had managed to drill itself into her skull, bouncing around and simply annoying her while she began scrubbing her body. She rubbed her surgical scar out of habit, glad that the showers were segregated by curtains rather than half walls. The idea of anyone else seeing the mark made her feel sick to the stomach.
"Oh my god you can sing!" a high pitched yet semi-familiar voice screamed.
Beca quickly moved to cover herself, pulling out the shower curtain which fell to the ground with a metallic ping when its o-rings snapped from the force. Instead she pressed most of her bare body against the wall, not wanting the red head to see too much. Not that Chloe seemed worried about that, standing there completely naked with an awe-struck look on her face as a flurry of questions fell from her mouth before the brunette had a chance to respond. Instead Beca focused all of her efforts into trying not to stare, certain she'd never seen a porn star look as good naked as the Barden Bella before her did.
"Dude, seriously? I'm naked," Beca spoke. Chloe heard it on some level but she was too busy staring, taking in the details of the brunette's tattoos before allowing her leering eyes to linger on the woman's ass. Suddenly she looked up. "Are you done yet?" the musician asked and the Bella simply nodded before biting the inside of her cheek. Jesus Christ she'd never seen anyone so perfect, or so skinny. Now it was Beca's turn to look and the red head couldn't help but smile, putting herself on show a little as her hands were planted firmly on her hips, not bothering to hide anything.
"Sorry, I'm pretty confident when it comes to stuff like this," she admitted before winking at the woman with a broad grin. "You're really gorgeous, you shouldn't be ashamed of your body," Chloe speaks again in an effort to reassure the woman before her. She'd forgotten about how lovely Beca's voice sounded the moment that the brunette's cheeks turned pink and all the older woman wanted to do was take the woman and make her scream through a climax. It was this intense craving that she knew could only be sated by the actual action itself, no substitute would do.
"You're rather attractive yourself," Beca spoke softly before licking her lips. She could feel it, that sexual tension between them. It was primal and dirty but there was no denying its existence. Letting out a shallow breath the brunette tried to look away, only managing to do so for a second. They both wanted more but they were fearful of crossing that line in the sand, knowing that this wouldn't stop with a simple fuck in the shower. They fought internally and the moment their eyes met was like a small explosion.
Chloe stepped forward, knee slipping between Beca's thighs as they both let out a small noise of satisfaction. Their eyes fluttered, heads tilting back slightly because it wasn't much to anyone else but to them it was everything. Slowly the strawberry blonde moved forward very carefully, not wanting to move them again in case she lost control and ended up having sex with the woman. Instead she pressed a delicate kiss behind the brunette's ear, a smiling ghosting across her lips as she pulled away.
"Let me know when you're ready," she whispered softly before walking away.
"Fuck," Beca shuddered before finishing her shower quickly, switching the taps to cold water instead of searing hot.
