A/N: Soooo, yeah... I am sorry that I don't post regularly – life usually gets in the way... Every once in a while inspiration strikes anyway. This is a story I developed at work yesterday (in between customers and such, so it's not that long and probably not very good...) and it basically just has a lot of sentences that were bouncing around in my mind for a while. Ziva and Gibbs are just kind of the definition of perfection for me, so they are on my mind a lot. I called it a fairytale because of the way it ends. There's basically a 'And they lived happily ever after' feeling to it, so yeah. Enjoy!
A Zibbs Fairytale.
There has never been a man who treated her better than Gibbs did. He has always been there for her, no matter the cost, and he has never judged her for the decisions she made. Having him around just made her life so much saver – more comfortable – loving. He wasn't just a mentor to her – no – he was the light at the end of a seemingly endless tunnel – a tunnel of anger, aggression, hatred and was never even a single moment where he made her doubt his loyalty. She made sure that he would, in turn, never doubt hers.
It fascinated her how a man who talked so little could communicate so much with just a look, a touch here and there, or even a few meaningful words. When they started dating, there wasn't much talking. For the longest time, all they did was share a few covert looks and touches – smiles even, when the moment was right – while each of them knew she would spend the evening in his basement, watching him work, sipping bourbon, and stealing the occasional kiss.
They never defined their relationship, but they also never questioned it.
When the time came and the team slowly started noticing, they simply explained it the only way they could: They love each other and they are going to do this in their own way – in their own time. Tony was angry for a while.
McGee seemed puzzled.
Abby was more excited than they were.
Ducky had a lot of questions and even more stories.
But as of this day, everyone has accepted their love as it is, giving them their space and letting them develop their relationship as they see fit.
The End.
A/N: So that's basically the general feeling I get from the Zibbs relationship, and coincidentally it's also the kind of vibe I would want in a relationship.
Let me know what you think of this take on their relationship – does it fit in with your idea of it?
I'm not gonna promise you that I'll write more from now on, but if I remember correctly – Reviews never hurt!
