Chapter 1 - The Encounter
I groaned uncomfortably as I sat on the cold stone ground as the storm outside continued since the past 4-5 hours ago when I left the PokeCenter.
O-oh, whats wrong with me, I havent intoduced myself to you. My name is Jacob and I'm on my way to battle to the Elite Four. Or at least...I was .I was almost a third of the way to Victory Road when I forgot to get my Pokemon back from Nurse Joy. I backtracked to the Pokecenter but I got cut off by a..."mysterious"storm and then we return to where we left off.
I hugged my knees close to my chest for warmth since I had taken off all my clothes besides my boxer shorts since they were oddly dry from the storm. The small makeshift fire I had going didn't look like it would be drying my wet and soggy clothes any time soon and I had to find a different or better source of heat or I'd regret it.
The fire began to die out and the light illuminating from it slowly receded to its origin. Sparking my attention of the dying fire, I quickly moveed towards to but my movement forced a light gust of breeze that was just enough to murder my heat source. Cursing quietly to myself, I sat back against the wall I as at before and looked up at the rocky, smooth ceiling.
"Goddamnit...why did it have to storm? My voice echoed throughout the cave and when it went silent, I could hear a few pebbles hit the floor as if someone or something had moved. I looked towards the origin of the sound and I heard what sounded like foorsteps or the lower paws a Pokemon coming slowly and causiously to see what had entered it's home.
The paws started to move slightly faster and faster until it had reached a jogging state. I began to slightly panic, got up from my sitting position and quickly scanned the room to find a place to hide like a large rock or a hole but to find no avail. I was too late and was met face to face with not a human but a Pokemon.
It was a female one to be at that. I say female since I took a Pokemon Gender Identification Class that every aspirearing Trainer was forced to take every few years due to new content and discoveries. Luckily, I knew how to handle this situation. Step one: Stay calm, Step two: Dont be an threat to the Pokemon and Step three: Back up slowly until a safe distance is achieved.
