A/N: I kind of hate the way this came out but I'm sick of it just lying around on my computer so I'm posting it here XD. I just realized that a drabble is supposed to have only... what, 250 words? But I can NEVER stick to those limits therefore I consider this a drabble. But whatever.

This is garbage, really. It could have been written much better but its 3 am and... well. LOL. I'll probably go back and change everything later.
I'm metaphorically begging for reviews. Er, well, more like hoping.

"Kagome..."

"No, it's okay, just go." He stayed there for a second, questioning and remorse was evident on his face. She smiled, at best she could, though it came out as more of a grimace. Sighing, she swiftly leaned forward to peck him on the lips before shoving him gently away.

"Really... you can go. I'll be alright." He almost reluctantly untangled his legs from hers before shooting her a brief smile, though, one look in his eyes said it all.

'I'm sorry.'

Kagome watched as the silver-haired hanyou scampered off, following the soul collectors. She wrapped her arms around herself realizing the sudden rush of cool air. Shuttering slightly, she looked longingly into the dim fire.

'It's so cold without him.'

The miko knew that no matter what she did when put into a situation like this, she would end up getting hurt in the end. After many tries and tries of fighting she just... gave up. It's not like she would be able to stop Inuyasha from visiting Kikyo anyway, so what was the point?

And as much as she wished she could hate her incarnation, Kagome couldn't bring herself to do so; Tears stung at the corners of her eyes. She reached out and grabbed at her chest, close to her heart. What she thought only happened in books and movies happened to her, her heart was in pure agony. It hurt, with every breath and every thought she felt like it was crushing her.

After all... she was only second best.
