The Night Before Christmas
A Yogscast Christmas Poem
By Havalubee
'Twas the night before Christmas
When all throughout the houses
No Testificates were stirring,
Not even their spouses.
x
Even the restless mobs
Didn't go and start a fight
For each one of them clearly knew
That tonight was Christmas night.
x
Their stockings were hung
O'er the chimneys with care,
For they knew that ol' Honey Claus
Would soon be there.
x
The babbies were nestled
All snug in their beds,
While visions of Jaffas
Danced in their heads.
x
But a strange, dark shadow
Was cast o'er the town
And Honey Claus looked up
At the Moon with a frown.
x
From his workshop he felt
Someone run past with a smirk
But little did he know
That Israphel was at work.
x
Hidden in shadows
And silently he stole
The Jaffas, the diamonds
And even the coal.
x
It was up to the heroes
The spaceman and Dwarf,
To reclaim those presents
And unsheathe their swords.
x
Miles they traveled
All night did they run,
And how weary they stood
When the fight first begun.
x
He let loose the first volley
And arrows did fly
Past Xephos and Honeydew
In the blink of an eye.
x
Drawing out diamond sword,
And diamond pick followed,
The spaceman and Dwarf
Charged the fell shadow.
x
Arrows flew by
All swords were then swung
With clashes and sparks
The last fight had begun.
x
In the end they stood tall
In the end they had won
"We've reclaimed the presents,"
Honeydew said with a yawn.
x
But Israphel escaped
The scoundrel had fled
To come another dreadful day
He was definitely not dead.
x
But catching Israphel could wait
The presents were back
And the heroes slept soundly
After Honeydew's snack.
x
