Relatives?
I crouched down and pounced with a menacing snarl. Mmm…that smells good! I leaned down, pulling the buck's neck close to my mouth, then bit down. It soothed my burning throat as it tasted better than it smelled. When I finished, I flitted over to Katelyn. "Come on slow poke! I teased the brunette.
"I'm already done, Amanda," she said. Then she came to my side as we took off.
"So, I still don't see how we're gonna see Edward. He died back when I was a newborn," that thought made me hiss as I remembered him being taken away when he was still alive.
"I know what I saw and so do you," Katelyn countered.
At that, I stuck my tongue out at her and sprinted ahead. She soon caught up and I said, "We need to slow down, we're coming up on a town." We slowed and stopped just as the forest, our cover, ended. When we walked from the forest to the sidewalk, I saw the voices I had heard. Four men that were now staring at us. I hissed under my nreath, so they couldn't here me.
"What?" she asked.
"You don't want to know what they're thinking right now," I practically snarled. This made Katelyn mad.
Then one of the men called out, "Hey pretty ladies! Need some company?"
"No thanks, we're meeting some friends," Katelyn said, barely holding back a snarl. But they acted like she didn't say anything and walked toward us.
I snickered as they though things like 'easy win' 'unfair fight' and a lot of other stuff that had to do with them overpowering us. We started walking again and they followed us. They surrounded us, in hopes to stop us, but, of course, we didn't even hesitate. So they closed in one grabbed myarm, and, in a flash, I kicked out his knees and made him fall, trying not to hurt him too badly.
At the same moment, another man grabbed Katelyn and she did the same. This caused a reaction I never would've guessed. In every one of their minds was either 'sexy' or 'hot.' I groaned and looked at Katelyn. Her mind and eyes were pleading the same thing. I nodded and we both pounced ot the remaining two men, squeezing their shoulders and making them groan in agony. Then, I whispered in a snarl, "She said 'No thanks!'" Then we threw then on top of the others and sprinted away.
Eventually, we came upon another forest. As we entered, a horrible smell slammed into my nostrils, making me snort in disgust. Looking at Katelyn, I saw her nose wrinkled up with the same expression. Then there was a snarl and two wolves stepped in front of us.
