For a hero, Link had quite a sinister glare. His eyes seemed icy now, and not bright and hopeful like the morning sky. They were definitely the same shade of blue, but Ravio couldn't take more than a few seconds of their wrathful gaze.

"O - Okay, okay!" the hooded boy croaked, "How about a discount? How's five rupees sound?"

The glower did not fade. In fact, it became even more intense and Ravio swore he could see flames forming in Link's pupils.

...Five rupees was really cheap—insanely cheap! There was no way he could lower the price any more than that.

"Come on, buddy, five rupees ain't bad!" he said as he trembled in fear.

Silence fell between the two once again, Ravio failing to come up with another solution or a way to convince Link to stop staring like he was ready to tear him to shreds with his sword. The boy was ready to hightail it out of there when Link finally said something.

"Why?" was all he said.

"W - Why?" he echoed, "I need to make a profit, you know."

"Profit?" Link scoffed, "Why a profit off me?"

He made a strange sound at the hero's question, tilting his head as he thought it over. He clearly didn't understand and stood in silence as he waited for him to appease.

"I let you live here for free." he fumed, "You devour nearly all my food, poke your nose into my belongings, and even sleep in my bed—all without charge—and you demand that I pay you a fee for borrowing some items."

That was some stone logic Ravio couldn't argue with. He shrunk in the corner and mumbled something almost incoherently, "I need somethin', you know…"

Suddenly, as if he had a ground-breaking epiphany, he sprung from the corner and grabbed desperately on Link's tunic.

"Don't kick me out!" he pleaded pathetically, "We can work something out! The world's scary out there, Mr. Hero!"

"I'm not going to kick you out." Link assured, and just like that Ravio sunk into the floor with a comical sigh. "I'll still pay for the items, but I need something from you that will work as your rent."

Ravio looked up in concern only to see Link looking away with his face a worryingly dark shade of red. Now confused, the rabbit-boy inquired what he could have possibly wanted to provoke such reaction from him.

"A kiss." he said.

"A...kiss?" he asked.

"A kiss."

That was...Not at all what he expected.

"How often?" He questioned further.

There was a dreadfully awkward silence while Link thought. "Once a week."

"That's...I...You're…" Ravio struggled to pinpoint exactly what he wanted to say. "That's...That's okay."

"That's okay?"

"I...Yeah."

Another awkward silence dawned between the two boys. They had their faces turned away from each other and waited for one of them to continue the conversation. Bearing it no longer, Ravio was the one to pipe up, clearing his throat that suddenly had a hard lump forming in it.

"So, did you want your, uh, first payment now...Mr. Hero?"

He made a strangled noise, "I suppose."

Turning to each other, they gently pressed up against one another and stared ungainly. Ravio, swallowing the lump of fear that dared to come up, slowly leaned his head towards Link's. It seemed like ages before their lips finally touched, and touched just ever-so gently.

It was even really a kiss, more like a peck.

With that in mind, Ravio pressed on a bit harder. Subconsciously, a hand came up to lightly stroke it's fingertips down Link's cheek and cup his chin.

When they pulled away from each other, Link's face burned brighter than the noonday sun and he surmised that Ravio looked the same beneath his hood.

"Are you sure that's good enough…?" came a mumble after a bit. "I mean...Once a week is a bit tame...Don't you think, Mr. Hero?"
