Her
She was strange. She had neither parent nor any proof of a bloodline, she claimed to be a vampire but I saw her muttering incarnations under the moonlight. She never said much; even Jack seemed baffled in her presence. Most other boys were attracted to her but she showed no interest in them, in fact, she never showed any interest at all. She just waltzed around with a blank look in her crimson eyes, she disappeared every so often to feed like any other vampire but she was gone a lot longer than any others. And then one night I saw why, I was walking through the cemetery; on the crescent shaped hill was a dark figure kneeling down. I gingerly trudged up, the figure had straight black and red hair that was so long it touched the ground. Murmuring incarnations, the figure had its back to me; I touched its shoulder,
"Excuse me, d'you need some help…"
It turned around, it was her.
"No, you- you must leave! Now! It's dangerous for others to be around me right now!" she screeched, I was about to run to Jack to tell him that she was doing something and seemed like she was extremely paranoid. I shook my head.
"What's your name? I'll go get Jack now- he'll help…"
"No! Please hurry! I don't want to hurt you! I-its starting, you must leave now!"
I blinked, "What do you mean? What's starting? Please let me help…"
Her crimson eyes filled with crystal tears, she closed them, "No one can help me…"
She rose into the air, her mouth and eyes wide open like she was screaming, two black wings formed from her back. A sword appeared in her right hand, her mouth and eyes closed as she drifted back to the ground. I walked towards her uncertainly, I touched her pale white cheek. She quivered and her crimson orbs opened, they suddenly seemed so sharp, I was taken aback. I knew she was beautiful but now I looked at her in awe. Her pasty white skin was flawless, her unblinking eyes were striking and her figure was immaculate, I blinked. Her grasp tightened on her sword, I took a step back she raised her sword swiftly and screamed in a battle cry.
Time passed quickly then, I was pulled back suddenly and the pumpkin king stood in front of me protectively.
"Please!" I screamed, "Its not her fault!"
She looked at Jack, her eyes softened slightly. I dodged around Jack,
"Please this isn't you! Don't do this! This isn't you!" I exclaim. The grasp on her sword loosens and her eyes loose some of its sharpness. I carried on screaming,
"I know I don't know you very well but I know you're not evil! This isn't you! LISTEN TO ME!!!!"
She let the sword drop to the ground, her sharp eyes returned to its usual dark crimson, she took a step closer to me, I was panting, she took another step until finally she broke into a full run and hugged me. She sobbed into my shoulder, I patted her shoulder uneasily. Jack came over and patted my shoulder,
"Well done Barrel" he whispered and then walked away. I held the sobbing vampire in my arms, she pulled away and smiled faintly,
"My name is Twilight by the way."
It turns out she was a vampire princess, sent by her creators to Halloween Town. She was sent to dispose of the evil.
Her name is Twilight, and I am undoubtedly and irrevocably in love with her.
