PROLOGUE
Smoke.
Had you asked anyone else what they remembered of that day you might have gotten a different answer.
Someone else may have recalled the heart-wrenching screams, the river of blood or maybe even the almost tangible smell of burning flesh.
But unfortunately there was no one else to ask.
Only her.
The last of the Valkyrie.
And if you were to ask her what she remembered of that day, she would say "smoke".
Granted she was only three at the time. No one would have expected her to remember any more than that.
A strong black smog, straining the lungs of a little infant girl, imprinting painfully in her memory.
At three years old she was already the very last of her kind.
All that was left of the Valkyrie, was her.
The only one that would ever be able to retell the story from what they had seen with their own eyes…
The story of the day Valhalla burned.
Hello readers!
I know this is only a prologue, and probably the shortest one in existence (sorry!) but I have so much envisioned for this story, and I just didn't want to rush it!
I would love to tell you a bit more about where this is going but I don't want to give anything away! Spoilers ;)
So instead I'll tell you, it's set on earth and this story revolves strongly around the avengers (as it should, considering where it was posted!) I can't tell you much more but ill give you a little teaser for next chapter, just so you have a better chance of determining if you'd like to continue reading! (Which I hope you will! ^_^ )
Till then!
Happy reading

Next time: The last of the Valkyrie
…The usually mild-mannered, mild-tempered housekeeper didn't know how to process the information that had just been so unkindly thrust upon her.
"Finally, Erika! You're out!"
What was worse was knowing that all too soon she would have to repeat what she had just learned to her close friend and boss, Maria Stark. She knew repeating it would only make what she had just heard all the more real. She wasn't sure she could handle that.
Not just yet.
"So…" The brunette was all smiles, reaching out and clutching the housekeepers hand in an excited embrace. "What did the doctor say?"
…..
