Hinata stands by the window her tears streaming down her face. Her mind filled with memories of her love. She feels alone and small in front of the large star filled sky and the brilliant full moon.
"How can the moon and sky be so beautiful on such a sad night?" Hinata asks the darkness of her room. Feeling scared suddenly she rushes to her door and closes it, then shuts her drapes to hide the sky.
Standing by the window, eyes upon the moon
Hoping that the memory, will leave the spirit soon
She shuts the doors and lights and lays her body on the bed
She closes her eyes to stop the images of her love running through her mind but it worsens. She sees his goofy smile and unshakeable determination and tears come in a new wave.
"Why couldn't you just be happy staying with me? You kept your promises you knucklehead!!" She yells to the ceiling trying to stop the urge to pulls the covers over her head and cease her screaming.
Her images and words are running deep
She has too much pride to pull the sheets above her head
So quietly she lays and waits for sleep
She stares at the ceiling and tries not to think
And pictures that change has been trying to link again
But the feeling is gone
The pain and heartache refuse to stop as the night wears on.
"It hurts so much how can I keep living without you?" She contemplates suicide, but how should she do it?
And water can't cover her memory
And ashes can't answer her pain
To give me the power to take breathe from a breeze
And call life from a cold metal frame
She slowly lifts herself off the bed and walks to her dresser. Hinata picks up a recent picture of him and her hand in hand smiling and laughing.
"Why can't we stay like that?" She pictures him smiling down on her with angels' wings and a big bowl of ramen and smiles at the thought.
In with the ashes or up with the smoke from the fire
With wings up in heaven or here lying in bed
Palm of her hand to my head
Now and forever cold
In my heart or the heart of the world
Hinata lays back down in her bed and sleep finds her finally as she forgives. As she lays their Naruto floats down through the ceiling and brushes her cheek with his fingertips.
"My love I am sorry, I'll watch over you from that big ramen shop in the sky."
Then he kisses her lightly on the lips. Hinata smiles in her sleep and mumbles.
"You better you knucklehead…" Then she drifts off to dream of her lover.
