Don't Own Veronica Mars
1 year later she still flinches every time she walks by the Neptune Grand. She still dreamt about that night. Her roommate Parker gets worried about her some nights because she wakes up to Mac screaming. Veronica tried talking to her about it but she just shrugged her off. She doesn't want to talk to her because she doesn't understand. Logan tries to as well but, that's just pushing it because he does it on Veronica's behalf. Maybe she would talk to him if he was asking for himself and not someone else.
No one seems to understand till him. He came to see her about six months after Cassidy jumped. He found letters from his brother apologizing about everything he had done. They were dated the day before he died. Cassidy knew Veronica was close to catching him so he wrote letters to Mac and Dick. There were two for Veronica and Logan as well. Veronica and Logan were given theirs personally Dick and Mac had been the ones to deliver them.
Mac didn't want to open hers alone. Afraid of the ghosts of the past. So Dick and her sat in the living room of Casablanca's Mansion. You go first say Mac. No you argues Dick. How about we open them together says the both of them at the same time. Sounds good to me says Mac. Opening the letters and Reading them. Mac's was short and to the point as was Dick's.
Dear Mac,
By the time you have this in your hands I am either dead or in jail rotting. Veronica is so close to figuring it all out. I caused he bus crash that killed our classmates. I didn't think I had any other choice. I'm so sorry because you saved me and I loved you for it. Now I just ask one favor move on learn to love again and help my brother out too. He maybe a jerk but he is going to need someone badly. I love you and everything about you. Take care and live the life you are meant too. You will always have my heart. I am sorry.

Dear Dick,
I'm sorry for leaving you alone but this was something i had to do. I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused. I had to do it. I need you to know that it wasn't your fault. This was something I had to do. Whether i am, dead or in jail please move on. Make a life for yourself. I know you don't always use your brain but, I know you have one. Help Mac. At least he regretted it. I know says Dick. He asked me to take care of you says Dick. Funny he asked me the same thing to me says Mac. We're going to okay aren't we asks Mac. Yeah we are says Dick as he hugs her. Dick was fighting the urge to kiss the girl his little brother loved so much. But, He didn't. The months went on and the closer Dick and Mac got. The 1 Year anniversary came up and Mac and Dick decided to face it together. The night before the one year Dick asked Mac to become his girlfriend officially. That was the night she realized even though she loved Cassidy that she had take his advice and fallen in love again. This time she wasn't letting go and neither was Dick. The end
