Savior of the Night

By: DancingInferno

Within the forest in the blackest of the night

A girl of innocence could see nothing in sight

Lost and utterly confused without any defense

Surrounded by enemies whose appearance was a pretense

She was slowly dieing, drowning in her own cries and blood

Another wave of demons came like a roaring flood

Her friends were all down; dead or alive? She wasn't sure

Her aura pulsed weakly, suffocated by evil so impure

Then suddenly when all seemed lost, he came streaking in

She had seen him before and now he had come again

Silver locks and ruby eyes that glowed in the moonlight

He sliced the enemies and slaughtered them with a bite

He was the symbol of purity yet a picture of rage

Like a feral animal that had been locked in a cage

When the last of them were completely dead

He looked at her that sent her a tremor of dread

In a rush of wind he transformed back to man

She gazed at him gratefully and then he ran

He was gone in an instant and she hurried to her comrades

Yet her gaze lingered to where he left, his departure left her sad

He came from nowhere; her savior of the night

Like an angel from above all dressed in white

She tended to her friends; her mind was elsewhere

He was cold on the outside yet inwardly he could care

The days came and went and time went on with disturbances slight

Yet she never ever forgot him, her savior of the night.
