NOT HIM

Takes place at the beginning of season 3 after Lewis was killed, but not after a particular episode. Power Rangers belongs to Haim Saban and Nickelodeon. Flashpoint belongs to CBS and whoever else owns it.

Sam Braddock looked at Julie Callaghan who had just suited up and looked away. The girl sighed heavily. She knew he was hurt over their breakup, and she was sorry, but it had been for the best. Sam was a great guy, but he wasn't the one for her. Unfortunately, the one for her was in the other part of the United States. Not that she had told him that. She had just told him that she didn't want anything to get in the way of her working in the SRU, which was true, but the truth was Sam just wasn't Tommy. Tommy. Sometimes she wished she hadn't sent the letter, but it had been better that way. She had been so afraid that her stalker would find about him, and that was something she wouldn't allow to happen. Sam walked up to her.

"Jules, can we talk?" he questioned.

"There's nothing to talk about, Sam," she answered with a sigh.

"Jules, come on. We should at least talk about this," he said, approaching her.

"There's nothing to talk about, so just back off," she responded.

"There a problem here?" Ed Lane asked, walking up to them.

"No, Sir. There's no problem," Jules answered.

"That's not exactly true, Jules," Sam told her.

"Well, I don't know what you're talking about, Sam, because I don't have a problem," Jules replied, walking away. Sam huffed and followed her.

"Will you just tell me why you dumped me?" he asked, grabbing her arm. With a karate yell, she tossed him over her shoulder. "Wha-Jules!"

"There's reason one: you're smart, Braddock. But no good in a fight," she told him. He stood up.

"Jules-"

"Plus, you don't know me. You can't know me!"

"Well, if you'd give me a chance-"

"Look, it's not happening, Sam!"

"Give me a good reason!"

"'Cause you're not him!" Sam's head recoiled. Him? Him who? he wondered.

"Look Sam, you're a great guy and everything, but you just don't have what I'm into!"

"So, what are you into?" Maybe I can get her back if I know what she's looking for, he thought to himself.

"Tall, dark, good martial artist, a little edgy, moody, can brood…just get it through your head, Sam! I don't love you like-"

"This other guy."

"I'm sorry."

"Yeah, me too." Sam blew out a breath and was about to say more when they got the call to suit up. Julie ran out with her team, and as they headed for their destination, she wasn't sure, but she was almost positive she heard the words: 'May the Power protect you".
