Ashes and Dust: prologue

Hello Reader, and thank you for deciding to read my first fanfic! This will be a simple one chapter story, unless people want more stories with my character Dust. And without further ado, lets get to the story.

Cold.

Cold and loneliness was the only thing he felt, the small, green haired boy curled up tighter in his corner, he had no name, no one talked to him inside the room he was locked up. The room was completely empty, except for the flickering lamp in the ceiling and the empty plate in the middle of the room. there was a window, but it was closed, and far out of reach of the small Ralts, and a door on the other side, always locked, unless the people on the other side came in with the food.

The door opens, a woman with the same green hair as the boy comes in, not a single word is said, not a single glance at the boy, he was used to it at this point. She picks up the plate, and leaves, this had been his routine for as long as he could remember, person comes in with a plate of food, leaves, another person comes in and takes the plate a short time later. He had tried to escape a few times, but never managed to get further than half way, and had quickly learned that escape attempts would end in pain, wether it be from a hard slap, or just a straight punch.

He still felt hungry, like always after he had eaten the food. As he continues sitting in the corner, he feels something, something growing within his mind, he tries to sense what it was, the power quickly growing, growing alongside something else, rage. All the anger, pain, sadness, despair, everything was growing along with the power as he slowly stands up, walking towards the door.

The door is quickly blown off it's hinges, the small Ralts's eyes shining a bright blue, his powers fueled by his rage and fury as he walks out of the room, soon enough, the two people who always entered the room were in front of him, surprised looks on their faces, that the small kid they had locked up was now standing before them.

The fury keeps growing, wanting to be released once again, the child slowly raises an arm, pointing his palm at the two.

All the pent up negative feelings burst out, and then everything is black.

He didn't know how long time he had been there, now laying in a small box in some alley in the city, a voice is heard. "Hey kid, why're you hiding in there?"

And that marks the end of the prologue to the life of Dust, if you want to read more, leave a review, and please, if you can, give some constructive criticism, i'm only aiming to get better, so i want to see what i can improve. Once again thanks for reading this story.
