Vinnie and Sunil were walking from zoology class together. They had taken a test about wolves or something.
"How did Wallace get the best grade?"
"I'm not sure, I think his mom told him or something."
"You mean his adoptive mother, Ms. Soup?"
"Yeah. Why'd she change her name again?"
"Uh-uh. I wouldn't know."
"Come on, Vin. Let's get something to eat."
Sunil spotted the cafeteria and raced off. Vinnie groaned and raced off after him, not being as fast as the half-mongoose.
(In the crowded cafeteria)
Sunil had gotten a tray and bought a slice of olive and pepperoni pizza, a bottled water, and a tray of mangos.
Vinnie got a tray and bought a cheeseburger, chili fries, a grape soda, and a tray of-
"Uh, lunch lady."
The woman turned around.
"Do you have anymore mangos?"
"Sorry, sweetheart. Your friend bought the last one."
Vinnie whimpered and dragged on after Sunil.
The two sat down at a table and began eating. Sunil quickly noticed Vinnie's sadden face.
"What's wrong *swallow* Vinnie?"
"They're out of mango."
"Well, here."
Sunil picked up his tray of mango and set it between them.
"We can share."
Vinnie smiled and picked up a piece of the yellow-red fruit.
"Thanks, Sunil! You're the best!"
The half-mongoose smiled and picked up his own piece. The two clicked them together and began eating.
Sunil and Vinnie had talked awhile, chowing down on their lunch. They both reached for a mango.
And pulled out the same one.
The friends looked at each other than out the mango between them.
"Uh...you can have it."
"No, Vinnie, you didn't get any mango. You have it."
"But you payed for it."
"But you're my best friend."
"You're my best friend!"
The two began to bicker about who should take it.
"Hey!"
The two looked in the direction the voice came from. Writer, who was called Wallace earlier, was looking at them. He was sitting with his girlfriend, Buttercream.
"We all know you like each other! Just act like it and split it!"
Sunil and Vinnie blushed and looked at each other. They each pulled down, breaking the fruit in half.
They smiled happily and began eating again.
After school, everyone was walking back to their dorms. Sunil and Vinnie shared a dorm together, so they were walking together again.
"Was what Wallace said correct," Sunil thought, looking down at Vinnie.
"Does Sunil like me that way," Vinnie thought, looking up at Sunil.
Sunil suddenly brought Vinnie into a playful choke hold and have him a nuggie.
"Hey! Cut it out!"
Vinnie playfully pushed away from Sunil. He spotted their dorm and ran off. He opened the door and dove in.
Sunil ran up and tried the doorknob, only to find it locked.
He laughed and banged in the door.
"Alfonzo, let me in right now!"
"Never, Arya!"
Sunil pushed on the door, causing Vinnie to open it and Sunil to fall through.
The two laughed and played together until they were exhausted. They trudged to their beds and fell asleep.
"I could honestly care less of Sunil likes me that way," Vinnie thought.
"Because he's my best friend," Sunil thought.
They sighed and drifted off to sleep.
