This is a song fic done to the song "A Love Before Time" by Coco Lee. She is also the one who sings "Reflections" to the Disney movie, Mulan.
This is a one-shot, love song-fic, so enjoy it. You can really feel the emotions to the fic if you have heard the song before.

A Love Before Time

A slight chirping was heard in the silence. They were alone standing under the God-Tree, starring at one another, afraid to touch,not knowing if each other was real or not. Soft music started to play, music of the forest one would say. They could hear the words, and the soft tune, but pretended to ignore it. They were intranced in each others eyes.
**If the sky opened up for me,
And the mountains disappeared**
"Kagome," Inuyasha breathed, his eyes softening. He looked at her with a small smile.
**If the seas run dry, turned to dust
And the sun refused to rise**
"Is it really you, Inuyasha?" Kagome said softly, tears forming in her eyes. The little light that made its way through the forest branches glittered on her single tear.
**I would still find my way**
Inuyasha nodded and smiled sadly.
**By the light I see in your eyes
The world I know fades away
But you stay**
Inuyasha acted as if in slow motion. He reached out for her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her body close to his, her head resting silently on his chest as the tears in her eyes fell freely.
**As the earth reclaims it due
And the cycle starts anew

"Kagome. I was so worried about you," he mumbled in her hair.
**In the love that we have shared
Before time**
She nodded agaisnt him, trying to dry her tears. She smiled faintly. "Please don't leave me again, Inuyasha."
He hugged her tighter.
**If the years take away
Every memory that I have**
Thoughts flashed through both their minds, as if they were sharing thoughts. These were memories of them, together. All the happy times, all the good times, with their friends and with eachother.
**I would still know the way
That would lead me back to your side**
The last memory showed Kagome running to Inuyasha, her hair flowing freely behind her, tears running down her face, as she lunged to hold the desending Inuyasha.
**The north star may die
But the light that I see in your eyes
Will burn there always**
The two pulled slightly apart to look into each others eyes, again. The soft music in the background making them feel this way. So, loving.
**Lit by the love we have shared
Before time**
"Kagome, I..." Inuyasha started. She quieted him but laying her finger on his lips.
**When the forest turns to jade
And the stories that we've made**
She smiled at him, her tears now dry. "I know."
*Dissolve away
One shining light will still remain*
Inuyasha smiled at her, not with happiness this time, but with love.
**When we shed our earthly skin
And when our real life begins**
He lowered his head, and she rose up to meet him.
**There'll be no shame
Just the love that we have made before time**
They kissed. Their eternal love was made.
