My All and Everything
Chapter 1
Coughing was the sound that woke Vanessa up. She knew it was her dad. So she quickly got out of bed, into the bathroom, and got his medicine out of the cabinet. She ran into his room and said, "Here dad, take this!" Her dad took the pills from her and put them in his mouth and washed them down with some water.
"Ahh thank you sweetie." Her dad said in relief.
"Your Welcome." She said while yawning.
"You can go back to sleep now honey, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?" She said yawning even more.
"Yeah, I'm sure." He said with an confronting smile.
"Ok, goodnight, daddy!" She kisses him goodnight and goes back to sleep.
The next morning, Vanessa woke up with a smile on her face because today was the first day back to school. Vanessa loved school. She loved to learn new things and she got good grades in school. But she really wanted to finish high school so she could persue her career as a writer. She loved writing about everything like fantasies, comedies, tragedies, dramas, and many other stories. She hoped to get into a good college too.
Vanessa got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom to get ready for school. She took a shower, brushed her teeth and then went to her room to get dressed. After she got dressed, she walked across the hall to her dad's room and peeked through the door. Her dad was sound asleep in his bed. She smiled to herself and left a note beside his pillow and went off to school.
When she finally arrived at school, she got out of her car and closed the door and walked in the school. The school was crowded with people who were odviously glad to be back. The were saying hi to their friends and even to teacher. And the same cliques were formed. But Vanessa had a clique of her own. They were called the "Smarties" of the school. It contained her best friends Miley, Ashley, and Zac.
"Hi guys!" Vanessa said happily.
"Hey!" they all said with glee.
"Ugh! I can't believe that this is our last year at this school." Said Vanessa.
"Yeah, I can't believe it." Squealed Miley. "But I'm gonna miss it."
"But cheer up guys." Ashley said happily. "This school will always be in our hearts."
"Yeah I guess." Vanessa said.
"Enough about this school." Zac appointed. "But how is your dad, Vanessa?"
Vanessa sighed. "He's doing ok but it seems like he's getting worser and worser each day." Vanessa gets sad just thinking about it.
"Aww Vanessa." Miley says while hugging her. "He'll get better soon."
That's what Vanessa thinks all the time. He will get better, he will get better, keeps ringing in her head.
"Yeah, I hope so." Vanessa said sadly. "I just can't live without him."
