A few hours after Rapunzel had come home…

It was a bit dark as the King, Queen, Rapunzel, with Pascal on her shoulder, and Eugene headed down to have their supper.

As they passed hallways Rapunzel couldn't help but stare at almost every little detail in the castle's hallways and walls. The walls had the sun insignia at every corner and were covered with beautiful paintings and pictures of the kingdom and their history. She was fascinated with practically everything in the whole kingdom. It had been a long time since she last saw the world, when she was no older than a few months.

Noticing her wonder at the walls, the King and Queen could only smile, after all she had been gone for eighteen years and she had never seen the world nor stepped foot out of the tower she had been practically almost all her life, well except the day when the love of her life had "rescued" her from that tower.

"It is nice isn't it, huh blondie?" Eugene teasingly asked while they walked en route to the dinner hall.

"Yep!" Rapunzel happily replied, "Nothing short of artistic capability, as expected from our kingdom's artists!" Holding Eugene's right hand in the process. Once again the King and Queen could not resist smiling to themselves, since they were, again, clearly amused by their daughter's answer.

As they entered the dining hall, both Rapunzel and Pascal gazed at the whole room. It was spectacular compared to the small kitchen in the tower. The walls were a pretty shade of orange, the red floor carpet had magnificent designs on its corners with the sun insignia at the center and there was a wonderful view of both the sky and ocean when you peered through the window.

"Wow" Rapunzel said to Pascal and the chameleon nodded in agreement

Eugene walked over to where Rapunzel was. "It really is something but it isn't as amusing as you." He said as he approached.

"Oh, and what is that supposed to mean?" Rapunzel teasingly asked in reply

"Hmm maybe it means that… you are the best thing that has ever happened in my life and that I really love you" he said as he playfully pinched her cheek.

"Aww, thanks!" she replied after giving him a quick kiss then suddenly hugging him.

"Ahem!" a cough escaped from the King's mouth as he and the Queen stared at Rapunzel and Eugene, who were still hugging each other over by the window. And at once the two immediately separated, conscious of the King and Queen's stare and looked at their side. Pascal squeaking happily clearly amused all the while.

And silence enveloped the room once more. The atmosphere seemed to tense as no one spoke a single word.

"Let's go eat dinner" The Queen said while smiling, breaking the silence in the room as she sat down in her chair at the table. The King followed, then Rapunzel then Eugene. Rapunzel sat across her mother while Eugene sat beside on the chair to her left.

While dinner was being served, the King and Queen told them how they were terrified when they couldn't find her after Gothel had stolen her from her room in the castle, how they thought of sending lots of lanterns into the sky on her birthday in hopes that she would see them and come home. Then Rapunzel told of how she never left the tower but dreamed of going outside and finally seeing the lanterns which appeared only on her birthday, and how Eugene, Maximus, Pascal and the Pub Thugs helped her achieve all that, discovering that she was the long lost princess, Eugene saving her from Gothel and finally bringing her here. After that, Eugene also told his side of the tale.
