Victorious Reunion

Yue and the other two magical knights had launched themselves at their lost team-member under loud cries of 'Iincho', and for all intents and purposes, it looked very much as if Yue was actually trying to fuse-together with the now slowly suffocating girl.
Nodoka had run headlong into the arms of a certain band of treasure-hunters, throwing her supposed shy status out of the window in the process.
Makie and Yuuna had more or less sandwiched a confusedly pleased Johnny in a cheerful display that was, really, just like them.
The three former slaves were once again dragged into a gigantic hug from the bear-like-woman that had had them under her employment, bawling their eyes out as they did so. Though Ako seemed to be shooting gratefully relieved glances in Tosaka's direction as well.
But, despite all of the tear-filled reunions on display around her, her gaze never wandered, fully locked on his form.
It didn't take him long, carelessly brushing off the tears of those surrounding him, before he finally turned, meeting her gaze with a small grin.
She had been standing far away from him, out of the way for the emotional reunions, so she was a little surprised when she found herself leaning on him, her hands clinging desperately to the fabric of his shirt, even though she couldn't remember having moved.
The deep rumbling reverberating through his chest warned her of what was to come, even before his laughter finally made its way through his throat, resonating through her very marrow as one of his arms casually wrapped itself around her in response.
He was really there.
The thought brought tears to her eyes, and so she buried her face deeper into his shirt.
She knew that he was saying something, but she wasn't listening.
It was probably something really stupid.
Smiling slightly through her tears at the thought, Chisame batted at him a little with her fists, just to make sure that he knew that she thought he was being an idiot.
The deeply rumbling laughter was more silent this time, almost apologetic.
He was warm. So wonderfully warm.
She was probably going to regret this, but right now it didn't matter that they were being watched, because he was holding her.
It was impossible to say how long she stayed like that, curling into his chest and crying, as his arm remained gently wrapped around her back.
But, all things must come to an end, so she pushed away, rubbing her eyes to try and wipe the remaining tears away before anyone saw definite proof of their existence.
He looked down on her, a cheerful grin dancing across his lips.
She knew that the others were watching, she knew that some of them were probably recording it.
And she didn't care at all.
Chisame stood up on the tip of her toes, grasping his collar and pulling him downwards in turn.
He was surprised, but he didn't struggle as her lips settled lightly on his own.
It was odd, she supposed.
The man was like iron, unbreakable in every way, and yet...
His lips were really soft.
She finally allowed herself to pull back, feeling remarkably pleased at the somewhat dazed expression covering his face.
"Idiot. Don't make me worry like that, you crazy old guy." her words made the dazed look slip a little, and the grin returned.
"Heh, that's Chisame-chan for you, always brutal." Rakan chuckled to himself.
Deciding to ignore that, Chisame buried herself in his chest again.
She would be forced to explain her actions before the day was over, giving her classmates a very detailed explanation of how she'd ended up falling for the annoying moron in front of her. But that could wait for a little while longer.
