Three words
The wind whistles around my ears as I tighten my hands around his neck. His eyes stare blankly up at me, a taunting smile on his lips.
"Why…" I whisper angrily and squeeze harder. It must be hard for him to breath but I do not care anymore. My heart is dead. No mercy, no feelings – he killed them all.
I push him further over the edge and I can see the stone wall crumbling under his weight. It is almost over… and he knows it too. Even facing death his expression does not change at all. He looks like he is made out of ice and only his eyes that flicker with an emotion I cannot identify are a sign of life.
"How could you…" I whisper again, my whole body shacking with rage. His only answer is to shrug his shoulders nonchalantly and it is more than I can take. With a hard shove he falls over the tower wall…
As he falls I see everything in slow motion: harsh lips curl into a happy smile, the cold face gains a relieved look and black eyes hold my green ones captivated. A broken whisper sounds in the air: "I love you…". A single tear escapes his eye, falling to the ground where only moments later, he will land too.
I break down, tears flowing freely down my cheeks, a hurt cry rips from my throat. Three words… and they change everything.
