Written for Elfgreen week; prompt 'Alternate Universe.'
He was just the secretary when that beautiful woman came into the office, requesting to see his boss. Apparently a good friend of hers had been murdered and she was requesting to see the best detective in town to help her discover who the culprit was. Now Elfman had seen lots of people come in and ask to see his boss, but none quite so pretty as this one. She had long wavy brown hair, and a small pair of spectacles; giving her this rich and refined look. With a voluptuous figure, like the one she had, every head in the office turned to look at her, hoping to see if they could catch a glance at more skin through the tight green dress she wore. It accentuated her body perfectly and he couldn't help but be one of the rude people staring at the pretty lady in the office.
She was feisty too, knew she was beautiful and… oh God, what was he doing?!
"I know I'm that sort of pretty girl people like, but can you please get your boss for me? This is important."
He sputtered at the smirk she flashed him and instantly started dialling into his boss' room, explaining the situation and requesting that he see this (beautiful) woman straight away as it was urgent. He got the message to let her in and told her so.
"Thank you." She pushed off from the desk and hesitated before leaving the room. She pulled something out of a pocket and slid it onto the table. It was her number, and name; one that fit her attire too.
"The name's Evergreen, call me later handsome." She winked at him and began her way to the boss, leaving Elfman to lean over the wooden surface of his workplace and pull a cliché move by looking at her back; shocked. Only he really couldn't help himself and that dress left little to imagination, so his eyes may have, kinda, dropped lower.
In his defence, she really was very pretty.
Forgive me for how short this is, I'm attending the funeral for my brain right now.
