Disclaimer: I own nothing in this story except for the plot. No one else thought that up for me, so I'm pretty sure I own it. ;)
A/N: I realize this is extremely short, but I wrote it on my iPhone at like one in the morning so I think I have an excuse. This takes place during the games. Also, I know Glimmer died because of the trackerjackers, but you can take this as you like. Thanks for reading! :)
The wind surrounded her, making her unstable. Her blonde hair was billowing around her, and there was fire coming at her. She looked right into the fire - then everything went black.
She could hear herself crying. How was this possible? She was dead, wasn't she? She then heard a voice. Maybe she was in heaven she thought loftily. Her mind was wandering, nothing seemed clear. Then she recognized the voice.
"Glimmer! Are you okay?" it was Cato's voice. He seemed quite worried she noticed in the back of her mind. She was still enveloped in the dream and the possibility she was dead.
Then suddenly reality came back to her. The fact that she was sleeping in a forest, and was a tribute in the Games - the fact that she was going to die. The tears were real now, and unstoppable. The Games had never seemed as real to her as they did then.
"Glimmer you're okay," Cato's voice was soothing, although she could tell he was worried too. He had his arm around her, and he pulled her closer to him. She pulled away from him, suddenly afraid of something she didn't know.
"I'm not okay! I'm going to die!" she sobbed desperately. And Cato didn't reply, because after all what could he say? Both of them knew she wouldn't win. Every time they killed someone it was one kill closer to when they would kill each other. When he would kill her.
She considered this as Cato pulled her into his arms. She thought about it as she fell asleep. She lived it whenever they killed another tribute. She remembered it as she died.
Did you like it? Please review! :)
