Hikari sat in her room quietly. A few days ago she found out about Naruto's love for her.
"Ameturmaru, what am I going to do? My schedule's been kinda cleared for a few days, and Kasumi-sensei gave us the day off." She asked Ameturmaru, who was sitting next to her.
The wolf gave her an 'I'm thinking' face. He sighed.
"Well... I can't blame you..." Hikari said. She heard a knock on the door.
"Coming!" She yelled, running downstairs and to the door. She opened it and saw Naruto standing there.
"Oh, hi Naruto."
"Hey Hikari."
"So... what's up...?"
"Nothing much..."
"Yeah..."
"Um, I'm not very good at this kinda thing... but do you want to... go watch the stars tonight?" Naruto asked sheepishly, blushing.
Hikari blushed slightly. "Uh... Sure, I guess." She said.
"Great... Um, I'll come by around 9:00...?"
"Alright."
"...Okay. Love you," Naruto said.
"Love you too," Hikari replied. Naruto kissed her cheek and left.
Later that night...
It was already 8:50 and Hikari was done getting ready. She wore a sweatshirt, black tank top and jeans.
Naruto came a few minutes early. He knocked on the door.
Hikari opened the door a few seconds later.
"Hi, Hikari," said Naruto, in his black shirt and pants.
"Hi, Naruto."
They shut the door and began walking down the street.
Hikari held Naruto's hand and smiled.
"It's so dark out," Naruto said.
"Yeah... I love it."
"Huh...?"
"I mean, I really like things like this. I like how it's dark, and animals eventually come out. Sometimes I can get a sense of peace."
"Oh..."
They continued walking to a grassy field by a small forest. They sat close to each other on the grass.
"When you think about it... This is kinda romantic..." Hikari said, blushing slightly.
Naruto blushed and said, "Really? ...I had to ask Sakura-chan for good ideas..."
Hikari giggled. Naruto smiled. He noticed Hikari's crystal necklace.
"Oh, hey, that's a nice necklace." He said.
"..." Hikari looked down at it, looking a bit concerned.
"Please, don't ask."
"Why not?"
"Just...don't, okay?"
"...Okay."
Hikari hugged Naruto and said, "It's such a long horrible story, Naruto. I can't tell you yet."
"It's okay 'cause I love you." Naruto said as he hugged Hikari back. They continued watching the stars quietly.
About an hour later, Hikari was tired and wanted to go home.
"Naruto-kun, I'm a bit tired, do you mind if I-"
"It's alright, I'll walk you home."
So Naruto and Hikari slowly walked down the street holding hands and talking about training. Few people walked the streets also.
Satoshi caught up to them on the way home, too. He walked beside them.
"Hi, Hikari-ch- Oh... I see you two are on a... date." He said.
"It's alright."
"But Hikari-chaaann, this is supposed to be our date...! Not Satoshi's!" Naruto complained.
"Well, this is our first date. So, Satoshi-kun... will you?"
"Okay..." Satoshi whined as he walked away.
The young couple both stopped at Hikari's house.
"Thank you, Naruto. I had fun." Hikari thanked.
"No problem, Hika. I had fun too." Naruto replied. Hikari kissed him softly. Naruto smiled.
"I love you." Hikari said as she walked to her door.
"Yeah, Love you too." Naruto replied. Hikari smiled and closed her door. He walked down the street to his house. He smiled happily and laughed.
