Such Grief

Ch1 Hotaru Lost

Hotaru yawned loudly as he looked back his blind friend. "You doing okay back their Akira?"

"Yeah, you know just because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't get around."

He stopped and just stared at the sky.

"Hotaru?" he asked when he could no longer hear the leaves crunch as he walked. He stopped so he could hear if he was still there.

"…"

"Hotaru!"

"Eh?"

"What are you doing?" he asked sounding a bit annoyed.

There was another silent pause finally followed by. "I'm watching the clouds."

He sighed. "Your hopeless Hotaru." He began to walk again. "Why did you decide to come with me?"

"…"

"Hotaru why did you decide to come with me?"

"I wanted to see Kyo and get away from Shinrei for a while."

He laughed. "Come on Hotaru." He said and they continued walking.

"What's that?"

"What's what?"

"A big manor."

"Manor where?"

"On that big hill."

He turned to him looking annoyed.

"To your right is a big hill, on top of it is a big manor surrounded in fog and cherry blossoms."

"I didn't know that there was manor out here."

"I didn't either let's check it out."

"Hotaru that's someone's private property."

"Come on." He said grabbing Akira's arm and began to pull him up the hill.

"There's no one here."

"Good now let's go. I'm getting a bad feeling from this place."

Hotaru looked around then say a small shrine. "A shrine I wonder what it's here for." He said letting go of his arm.

"I really don't think that this is a good idea."

"Relax it's just a shrine, at least it looks like one."

"Hotaru don't!"
He opened the small shrine doors. He screamed a mighty scream.

"Hotaru! Hotaru! Hotaru!" yelled Akira trying to figure out what happened to Hotaru. That evil presence got stronger. He knew something horrible had happened to Hotaru. "Hotaru?" he asked he backed away form the evil presence forgetting that he was on a hill. He rolled down the hill screaming all the way down. Luckily for him a bush stopped his fall and not a tree. "Oww…" he said trying to get up his wrist hurt badly.

"Akira!" called a woman's voice that sounded like Yuya's.

"Miss Yuya is that you?" asked Akira.

"Yeah it's me. Are you okay I saw you rolling down the hill."

"I'm okay but I lost Hotaru up there."

"Hotaru was with you I thought you coming to see me and Kyo alone."

"He wanted to come with me." He could sense that Kyo and Benitora were nearby.

"And what is up there?" asked Benitora.

"A manor."

Kyo sighed. "Knowing Hotaru he probably wondered inside." He turned to Benitora. "Come on let's go find him."

"And leave Miss Yuya alone? Besides from what I can tell that place looks creepy." He said shuddering.

He rolled his eyes and started walking up the hill.

"Wait for me Kyo!" he called following him.

"Ow." Said Akira flinching.

"Are you okay?"

"My wrist I think I broke it."

"Hold still." She said wrapping it up.

"Thank you."

"What do you think happened to him?"

"Probably what Kyo said he just wondered in there." He said laughing nervously as he remembered the evil presence he had felt while up there.

"I hope your right Akira."
