Alright, so as a quick note, I am a total Hunger Games fan, and I have just heard the recently released song Safe and Sound, from the album from the new movie, and I just thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to write some SuperMartian fluff. So here we go again!

Out of everyone, she just couldn't believe what she'd done. It was her, all her fault. She'd destroyed the training exercise; it was her fault Artemis had almost died. A sob echoed through the empty hall in Mount Justice. Somewhere no one could hear it, at least she thought. A hand came down on her shoulder. Brown eyes met blue.

Superboy's normally hard stare had softened considerably. Megan looked into his eyes for what seemed like an eternity, before finally wrenching them shut and ramming her head into his shoulder, letting her tears fall freely into it. He at first, didn't know what to think of this, but he slowly put his arms protectively around her, pulling her closer.

"It was all my fault," she whispered. Conner pulled a hand through her hair.

"You couldn't help it. It wasn't your fault," he said. Her hands clenched the fabric of his shirt. He gently pulled her away from him. She looked up again, her eyes slightly red from tears. He put his lips softly against her forehead. When he pulled away he pulled her closer to him again, and she began to cry again. Softer, but tears still fell. "It's alright, I got you. I'm not gonna let you go." Another sob caught in her throat. "You'll be alright M'gann. No one can hurt you. I'll hurt them first. It's ok, you'll be ok."

The tears began to gradually cease, until all that was left of them was a sniffling Martian. She held onto Superboy, her rock, her protector. She knew that no matter what happened, she would always, and forever, be safe and sound.

Alright, so there we go with fluff. I know it's short and I feel like Superboy might be a bit OOC, but I couldn't help it. It's the song talking I tell you! Not really I actually like this one a little. So yeah, please review if you don't mind. I would really appreciate it.
