We have always been two of one, one of two. We had always shut out the world. We lived in a place no one could penetrate. We were born together, we lived with and for each other, and we would die together. That's what we always said.

We thought the gate from our world would never open. We thought we were safe; until Tamaki Suou landed in our lives.

He couldn't tell us apart by sight. Though he did tell us that what we wanted to hear. We may be one in the same, but we are different people. "Individuals as a one", you could say. We had hoped someone would realize that. We tried to make a maid realize that once.

What Tamaki said made the gate crack, but with the lock still on.

Then an unexpected surprise entered the World of Hikaru and I. Her name was Haruhi Fujioka. She could tell us apart by sight even before Hikaru dyed his hair black. She knew we were Individuals as a One. She knew how we were feeling by the subtle hints no one seemed to notice. She had the key to the lock. She opened the gate no one else could.

We watched the radiance from the gate grow ever-wider. We started to see the world in a whole new light. The way only Haruhi could show us.

We both fell in love with her. I gave the chance to Hikaru. I couldn't make the step to the outside world. I knew Hikaru wanted to take Haruhi's hand that she offered to lead us into the outside world.

So I say this to you, my Brother, my Twin, my World, "Take her hand and let go of mine. Let her lead you into a new world. I will stay here waiting for the one who can show me. Tell me how to leave my world like Haruhi showed you. We will always be twins, but always……………………………….............................................................................
