"EUNICE! Let's go! We don't want to be late for the Nerdathon dance off. I want to get there as soon as it starts so I can show off my moves." Ursula rudely cut off my train of thought.
"Oh, okay," I muttered as Ursula yanked me away from the glorious calculator.
After watching Ursula make a fool of herself on the dance floor for a while, an odd looking man asked me to dance.
"No way buster, I'm taken!" I announced in his face.
"Oh come on. I bet a good looking nerd like you can dance very well," he replied in an annoyingly high voice.
"Here's a poem for you. Roses are red, violets are blue, you are ugly, and I'm so not going to dance with you," I exclaimed and wandered off to find Ursula.
I found Ursula a few minutes later and grabbed her elbow. "Come on, let's go. It's eight o'clock; we're already out past bedtime."
"Oh Eunice. Don't be such a parumpus," Ursula whined.
"Whatever, I am going to go get a coke at the bar. That guy with the tattoos and mustache looks like he might be good company," I replied and walked away.
Sadly, the man was no good and I was left sitting at the bar alone. I wish I had that calculator right now, I thought to myself. Suddenly, an idea hit me. I could sneak out and go buy the calculator 2009 special collector's edition. YES! Calculator here I come! I yelled inside my head as I crouched down and snuck out the back door.
Right as a taxi was pulling over to pick me up; I felt something hit the back of my head. I turned around and there was URSULA. She had thrown her shoe at me!! Before I could say anything she growled, "Were you trying to ditch me?"
As I was about to reply, her other shoe hit me and before I knew it I was back inside, tied to a chair watching Ursula dance. For the rest of the night I had to sit like that, wishing I had a calculator.
