In The Morning
"Edward, do you love me?" I asked him late one night while we were lying in bed
"In the Morning I will answer," was his response not even turning to look at me
Now with upset and doubt in my voice I asked "Do you want to be with me forever?"
"In the Morning I will answer," he repeated with the same uninterested tone.
Tears began to form in my eyes and I tried to fight them back but no matter what I asked him all he would say was 'In the Morning I will answer.'
After I could no longer hold back the tears I ran out of the room so he wouldn't see me crying. I sat in the dark hallway and cried until I could no longer produce any more tears and decided to drag myself back into the room after seeing the clock and realizing it was 6:22 am.
I walked in with my head down but quickly picked it up to look around when I noticed how bright the room was and what I saw immediately made me start crying again. There were candles light throughout the room and Edward was sitting on the bed with the same gorgeous expression on his face that he had when we first met. He got up and walked over to me.
"I love you," he whispered in my ear as he wrapped me into the most meaningful hug I've ever felt. He got down on his knee, pulled out a little blood red box, opened in and inside was the most beautiful silver ring accented with a blood red twilight stone, "Isabella Marie Swan, will you marry me?"
"YES!" I somehow managed to get out between the tears and shocked state that I was in. This was the answer to my second question he wanted to be with me forever. He slid the ring on my finger and I wrapped my arms around him giving him a passionate kiss while wrapping my fingers up in his hair. When the kiss ended we climbed back into bed and I snuggled up into his chest looking into his beautiful eyes, "Did you plan this?"
"In the Morning I will answer."
A/N
I wrote a poem called "In the Morning" a few years ago, and while sitting at home today I was searching my brain for story ideas and along with two others that I will begin working on after I finish re-reading new moon to refresh my mind on the details I came up with this. I basically took the poem I wrote and used it as an outline just changing the characters from my boyfriend and myself into Edward and Bella and adding more detail of course. I hope you likeed it and please review! :) Might continue with their life where Breaking Dawn left off but I'm not sure; Opinions! :)
