Lucas has the flu chapter 2
Lucas and Karen went to the school to pick up Nathan
Lucas wanted Nathan
"Nathan Scott you are needed at the attendance office for checkout ." Ms. Carrie called for Nathan
Nathan went to the office and saw his mom .
"Mom where are we going?" Nathan asked Karen
" Lucas isn't getting any better so we are taking your brother to the hospital.
Nathan sat in the back with Lucas and stroked his brother's hair
"Lucas Scott ." Megan called Lucas back
"Hello Lucas how are you feeling today?" Megan asked him
"Awful ." Lucas said and it was true Lucas felt horrible
"Dr. Thomson will be in shortly." Megan said
Lucas coughed into Nathan's shoulder
Lucas moaned
"Hey Lucas what I can see here is that you don't feel good?" Dr Thompson asked him
"No I don't ." Lucas said
"Lucas you have fluid in the lungs and that's what causing the bad coughing." The Dr said
Lucas was released and was put on some medicine
Lucas now has a terrible headache and the congestion isn't helping
" Nathan can you bring me the decongestant from mom's room please ?" Lucas called to his brother
Lucas kept sneezing all night and Lucas is extremely tired
"Lucas how bout you try to go to sleep since you were up all night sneezing." Nathan suggested
Lucas didn't have to be told twice Lucas fell asleep instantly
Nathan turned on the TV as he gently set down Lucas's head on his lap and started to stroke Lucas's brown hair
His eyes were closed .
"Lucas time for medicine." Karen said softly to Lucas
Lucas woke up and looked at his mom tiredly
" mom why are you waking me up so dang early." Lucas said tiredly
" Lucas you must be out of it I'll let you sleep more after you take your meds." Karen said
Lucas took his pills and went back to bed
Nathan carried Lucas up to his room and set Lucas on his bed
It was getting close to supper time
"Nathan will you go and wake your brother for me please we are having his favorite BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes." Karen asked Nathan
Nathan went up and tried to wake up Lucas
"Nathan I just want some soup ." Lucas said
"Mom Lucas just wants some soup." Nathan said as his eyebrows knitted together .
