Here's my first one-shot. Enjoy.
Discalimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis or any characters in it.
…:::…
This was insane.
No, scratch that. This was beyond insane.
This was…sad.
Ryoma heard the squeaking of chairs behind him. His closed his eyes. Then the whispers of voices. His eyebrow twitched. Is this all they had to do on a Sunday afternoon? Were they that desperate for something to do?
"Ryoma-kun?"
He opened his eyes and slowly gazed up toward the girl with two ridiculously long braids, seated right across from him.
"Hn?" He looked down at his fries and half eaten burger. Usually, he would have gobbled it all up by now. But something was a ruining his appetite.
He heard snickering. Oh yes. He knew just what was ruining his appetite.
"Ano…I should be getting home soon." Sakuno glanced down at her watch. It was getting late and her grandmother would worry. Looking back up to him she gave a brilliant smile. "Thank you for the tennis lesson and then buying me lunch. I'm sorry I didn't to bring my money."
Yup. The tennis lesson was another favor Ryuzaki-sensei had asked his father to do. Who in turn cheated Ryoma into doing it him. Not that Ryoma wouldn't have done it in the first place.
But no one needed to know that.
The lunch was just his way to stall. He didn't feel like going home just yet and she was the best person to distract him for a while. So he offered her lunch. Well not offered…but you get the picture.
"It's fine." The snickers just turned into chuckles. Really, he didn't understand why they were here. It wasn't that interesting. He was just having lunch with Ryuzaki. He ate lunch with her all the time at school when she'd bring him those delicious bentos.
It was just something he wouldn't understand.
"C'mon. I'll walk you home." Ryoma started to walk to the door with a blushing Sakuno tailing him. Tennis lesson, lunch, and now he was walking her home. This day couldn't get any better for her.
They both walked down the road a ways when Ryoma heard feet shuffling.
He sighed. They were just so persistent. They just weren't going to leave him and Ryuzaki alone. As the pair continued down the road with the shuffling feet following, Ryoma mused…
Nope. This wasn't insane.
It was beyond insane.
It was his sempai-tachi.

Hope it wasn't to bad for my first one-shot. All comments are welcome.
