Gryffindor Blood

"Didn't you know Professor?"

Albus pulled his gaze away from the figures on the couch and shook his head.

Harry smiled.

"Yea well."

Harry's old professor shook his head again.

"I feel that" he paused "there was so much that slipped passed us during the war."

Harry nodded.

"They are happy though."

Albus smiled.

"That is good."

Placing a hand on Dumbledore's arm Harry smiled back.

"Love Professor, love."

With that happy note sitting on both men's chests Harry left to find his own love. Last minute Harry stopped and tapped the door jam.

"She's pregnant."

Albus turned.

"Ginny?"

Harry grinned.

"Not yet."

Running a hand through his hair Harry turned his face to the figures on the couch and nodded.

"She is."

Albus shook his head.

"Do they know whose-"

Harry shook his head.

"But it'll be a Gryffindor that's for sure."

Both men smiled.

"Okay then."

"Good night Headmaster."

"Good night Harry."

Taking one last look into the library Albus made his way up the grand staircase of 12 Grimmauld Place.

Twenty-seven year old Hermione Granger was lying stretched out on the ancient green sofa sandwiched between the two men that she loved unconditionally.

She sighed contentedly.

Sirius was on her right lazily dragging his surprisingly gentle fingers through her hair. His breath was blowing in a steady stream over her cheek and his heartbeat was rhythmically pounding into her back, steadying her nerves.

Her eyes stayed closed as Remus's calm voice floated from the left side of other end of the couch. The constant drone from of old poetry from Mrs. Black's collection held her in a warm, fuzzy state between sleep and consciousness. With the book on his knees his hands were free to continue easing the pain of swelling in Hermione's feet.

Hermione rubbed both of her hands over her only slightly protruding belly. Receiving both of these men into her life was undoubtedly the best thing that had ever happened to her.

"Oh."

Both men temporarily stopped their ministrations.

"It kicked."

Sirius made eye contact with Remus over Hermione's head.

"Really?"

Remus smiled.

"That's wonderful."

The baby kicked again, harder.

"Bloody hell."

Sirius helped her lean forward as Remus twisted slightly to really face them.

"Are you okay?"

Hermione nodded.

"That was one bloody hell of a kick though."

Sirius grinned.

Oh yeah, either James Ronald or Helen Lily was definitely going to be a Gryffindor and by the looks of it on the Quidditch team.
