Author's Note: Well, this is my first attempt at humor! I 've always loved shika. He cracks me up! Anways, hope you enjoy! Let me know if you want me to write some more of this one!
Uncomplicated.
Shikamaru sighed as he locked the classroom door. Teaching was such a bore. Having to watch over screaming, wanna-be shimobi's was pure torture. In fact, he was sure this was the hokage's way of punishing him for some obscure crime he had commited.
Being a chuunin was just too bothersome. Why hadn't someone else landed such a horrible job? He'd rather face painful death at the hands of an enemy thatn teach these brats. At least then he'd have a chance of escaping.
This certainly wasn't what Shikamaru had envisioned when he'd passed the exam.
After that came his first mission as team leader. That first mission had been a complete disaster. Not only had the mission been unsuccessful, but his whole team had been injured. Some had almost died. His friends. He wasn't ashamed to admit that he had cried afterwards, at the hospital. Because of the guilt, the frustration and the disappointment. Emotions did that to you. Normally, he wouldn't bother to think about such things. But you can't always control every situation you find yourself in. Carefully laid plans can go wrong, no matter how well thought out they may be. But that didn't stop you from being disappointed and upset, right?
And on top of all that, he'd been saved by a woman! A damned woman!
Temari…that was her name. From the hidden village of Sand. She was the sister of that raccoon-eyed freak, and the make-up wearing puppet boy.
But there was something about that woman……
Shaking his head, he headed towards his favorite cloud watching spot. Being intelligent had its advantages, but sometimes, thinking was just too damn troublesome.
At least clouds weren't complicated.
