Vet's Office: One Shot

Roy walked into the veterinary office, Kimbley trailing behind on a leash. His paws padded against the white tiled floor, his ears back in annoyance. He glanced at the 'spay and neuter your pets' signs warily.

"Why are we here again, Mustang?" He growled softly, glaring back at any pet owners that looked at him.

"You need a check-up. And the last human doctor we went to nearly got you killed."

"So you'll trust a vet?" The chimera shouted angrily. "They could euthanize me! Or worse." He muttered, his eyes darting around. Roy couldn't help but laugh.

"Stop shouting. You'll scare the other pets. And I'll make sure they don't do anything terrible to you, all right?" The new Fuhrer said, shaking his head at Kimbley's paranoia.

The receptionist looked at Zolf suspiciously. "What kind of dog did you say you had, Fuhrer, sir?" She asked Roy, still staring at the fuming wolf.

"He's not so much a domesticated canine as he is a wolf." Mustang said, glancing back at Kimbley for a minute.

"A wolf? All right then. The vet will see you two shortly." She stated, still quite cautious about the Crimson Alchemist.

Roy sat down, forcing Kimbley to sit on the floor. He growled at the other dogs when they came near him, but Roy yanked the leash. Zolf yelped and glared at the Fuhrer.

"Behave yourself, Zolf. No need to get into a fight with the other dogs." He muttered, scratching the chimera behind the ears.

"Make me, Fuhrer." He barked sarcastically.

"Maybe I should get you fixed. You'd perform better." Roy said with a sly smile. Kimbley's ears lowered to the back of his skull in terror.

"You…you wouldn't. You…couldn't!" He yelled, whining softly. "Please no, Fuhrer. Please no."

Roy laughed and scratched behind the chimera's ears/ "How about obedience lessons then?" He inquired curiously.

"No. I'll stick to the way I am. Besides, you wouldn't love me if I was some obediently mindless drone." Zolf said with a smirk. Roy chuckled and smiled.

"I suppose you're right."
