Izaya couldn't believe his luck.
Here he was, having been in a chase for three hours, and Shizuo still hadn't caught him. His legs felt like jelly, he had a migraine, but god dangit Shizuo still hadn't caught him. He couldn't help but give himself a mental pat on the back.
I'm having ootoro tonight. He thought to himself. I deserve it.
HIs breath left him in something akin to a wheeze, as he called back, "Shizu-Chan! Y-You're going to have to do better that that if you want to catch me! I've been running full sprint for three hours, and you can't even g-get me!" He immediately regretted saying anything. He needed to preserve his breath. His only reply was loud pants immediately behind him.
He tried his best to add on some speed, but he couldn't, and Shizuo was getting too close. He was approaching a fence, and lunged for it, only to choke, as his hoodie was yanked backwards.
Shit.
"I finally caught you flea." Growled Shizuo into his ear, huffing. Izaya barely managed a smirk.
"Oh did you Shizu-Chan?" He asked. "What are you gonna do now?"
"This." Replied Shizuo, right before he lifted his arm in an upwards swing. Suddenly, Izaya was flying. As he sailed through the air, he couldn't help but think,
He just had to show off, didn't he?
He hit the ground in the middle of the street, an incredible pain surging through his leg, which he just knew was broken.
Ow.
As he looked around, he noticed that he was only a few feet away from the sidewalk, where Shizuo was standing, watching him smugly. Izaya glared at him, and started to get to his feet, or his foot, when Shizuo's eyes widened in horror. Izaya blinked. What was it?
"Flea!" Barked Shizuo. "Move! Hurry-"
Izaya glanced to his right, to see a giant truck speeding towards him. He only managed to send Shizuo a look full of hate, before the truck hit him, and then everything was black.
