A/N: To all those reading this right now, I say THANK YOU. :D Really, it means a lot to me. About this ficlet you are about to lay your eyes on-- this is just the first part! :D I'm going to be doing a full songfic, but I wanted to get some thoughts on the first part of it while I sleep. [It's 4 am where I'm at, but this story was just begging to be put on paper, er.. screen. :D] So let me know what you think, and hopefully the next part/the rest of it will be up later today! Thanks so much and enjoy! =)
Disclaimer: Sadly, I own nothing. The characters are those of one wonderfully brilliant J.K. Rowling, and the song used is September by Daughtry.
I smiled at the handsome man sitting in the grass in front of me. The crystal blue water of the lake showed his perfect, porcelain reflection. He looked up and me and smiled, something that I only saw him do when we were alone.
"What're you looking at?" he asked curiously.
I smiled. He was so innocent and sweet around me, and I couldn't help but constantly watch him and take it all in. "Just… you."
He smiled again and leaned against my shoulder. "I really enjoy being out here with you, but we should go."
I frowned and looked down at him. "Why?"
"Because," he grinned up at me as a raindrop splattered on my nose. "It's starting to rain."
I laughed and got up, grabbing his hand and pulling him up as well. He didn't let go of my hand. My breath caught in my throat as our eyes locked, his gray eyes swirling like the clouds that were now pouring water on us. Neither of us seemed to care.
"Draco," I whispered, unable to tear my gaze away from his. "We should head back up to the castle, it's raining."
He simply smiled and pushed my wet hair away from my eyes. His hand traveled down the side of my face, his thumb resting on my jawbone. "Shut up, Harry," he said, his smile growing bigger. His lips pressed against mine, warm and inviting. I wrapped my arms around him, and everything was perfect.
It was the first time Draco Malfoy kissed me.
How the time passed away, all the trouble that we gave
And all those days we spent out by the lake
Has it all gone to waste? All the promises we made
One by one they vanish just the same
