Words flow from the serpents lips

With grace and care

Filling the ears of the gullible

The lies fill the air

And taint the ears of the innocent

Beware the serpent

Who wears a mask

So that none can see what mischief

Lies behind the silver eyes

Of the prince of Serpents

He finds though one friend

An unexpected one who

Sees right through his lies

And right to the heart of him

How he hates her and her friends

Though for every insult

He gives

She matches him

The Princess of the Lions

Brave and true

To what she believes is right and true

And the war that shattered

All beliefs

Left them in each others arms

Though on different sides

They found comfort

Two sides of the same coin

Both refused to see what their hearts screamed

Until the faithful day

When the Princess had lost her fight

'Death' she plead 'Let death take me'

Then she heard a voice that chilled her heart

The voice of the man she realized she loved

Yet he was an enemy

He cared not about her

Why would he

She had been a fling

She opened her eyes with defiance and rage

Flashing in those amber eyes

To find the silver ones of the Serpent prince

Staring into hers

She tore her gaze from them

And look around in wonder

As she gazed at the scene that laid

Before her

Her gaze flew back to him

I love you

The three words

He uttered hurt her more than death its self

She knew as did he

That trial and probably Azkaban

Faced him

Yet here and now they were alone

And that was enough

His lips burned as they touched hers

He had betrayed his family

Yet all he could think about was her

How could she

A lion of all things

Do this to him

Nothing could affect him

Expect seeing her helpless in the hands of another

The rage he had felt

It flowed through his body

Blinding him to everything

But the man who held her

Captive in his grasp

None should touch her but he

He who loved her

Oh how he loved her

He thought as he stared

Into those amber eyes

That held a flame of defiance

But then shock as she saw what he had done

Then all he saw was her lust

And felt his own desire mount

As he captured her lips in a passionate kiss

The serpent changed that day,

The lion wild and free

Had shown him the way

And so went their friendship and undying love

And faced many a challenges

But yet never waver

Though many said it would

The lion saved him that day

From a life in the wretched place call Azkaban

And gave him instead a life of love
