My Fairy Tail Come True

"Pew pew" Maria squinted one eye shut and aimed her gun carefully at Kyoko. Wouldn't get off with just a grazed leg this time! "Pew," she drew the finger gun back to her body in mock recoil.
"Nooooooo…" Kyoko grabbed at her unwounded chest and fell back, choosing to make her death humorous over realistic.
This had become part of their daily routine: First Idle chat over coffee (tea for Maria), then some sort of game using the retired costumes the president would never get rid of (Today Maria-chan had been screwed over by Kyoko in a drug deal gone wrong), and then "Story time!" Maria chided.
"What kind of story do you want today?" Kyoko scooped the youth up in her arms and swept her off to the LoveMe section's clubroom.
"How 'bout a princess story?" Maria smiled. "You always seem to have plenty of those and I haven't heard one in a while!" In truth Maria had no interest in hearing the woven tales of women and their perfect princes, but it made Kyoko happy so she would always be willing to listen.
"Alright," Kyoko set Maria down and sat directly facing her. "This is my very last princess story,"
Oh thank gawd!
"Once upon a time in a far away kingdom," She began with starry eyes. "There lived a young girl, and her terrible mother. But along came a goblin and stole the princess' heart away. He lied to her and said he was a prince, and that if she were to work for him until he were to take over the thrown, he would marry her and let her rule by his side.
But one fateful day the girl heard the goblin conversing with an imprisoned elf, and she picked up on is plans. She immediately ran away, and in one quick, mildly painful motion, she was swept off to the castle. She was happy in the castle.
A castle where she felt welcomed, by the strange but friendly king, the fluttering fairy princess, and the kind knights that roamed around.
But above all, she was happy in the arms of the prince. She hadn't trusted the prince at first, because all princes must've been goblins, at least in her eyes, but as the days ticked by she found that in the company of the prince, she was given a feeling of pure joy, something the goblin only took out of her,"
"Wow what a pretty story!" Maria never found interest in Kyoko's cute little whimsical fairy tales but this was amazing. "Did the prince and the girl live happily ever after?" Maria was pretty sure she already knew the answer.
"Actually," Kyoko scratched the back of her head guiltily. "There is no prince, not yet,"
"Well there aren't any of there aren't any of these characters, they're made up… aren't they?"
"Did I tell you about the princess' dress yet?" Kyoko looked down at Maria.
"No," Maria answered cautiously; she didn't want to lose sight of the question at hand.
"She loved the royal gown so much, despite the price it came with," Kyoko managed to momentarily bring Maria's attention solely to the story.
"Price? What price," She looked concerned for the character that she was sure Kyoko had made up.
"It was such a hideous color," The corners of Kyoko's lips turned upward steadily as she continued, "A brilliant.
Neon.
Pink"
