Prologue: The Decision

Walking down the road towards my house and I didn't see the blue car heading straight for me. 'Almost there Nii-san said that he had a surprise for me.'

Seeing him standing there waiting for me and I was going to run towards to greet him but I heard a screeching sound behind me. I turned around and I saw it coming. I froze in place unable to move and I heard him yelling at me.

"Tetsuya! Move! Run! Please!" He yelled.

'I can't move…help me!'

I saw it coming, but I was pushed by Nii-san but I couldn't do anything he was going to be hit. 'No!'

I run up towards him and I pushed him just like he did for me. The car came really close and…

Darkness that's all I could see. Nothing more nothing less. I can hear him crying did I fail?

~With Nii-san~(AN/not telling you his name just yet)

"I am sorry Mr. Kuroko, but his heart is failing and we either need to replace it or just let it die." The doctor said while taking off his gloves and throwing them away in the trash can.

"What do you mean? Can't you save him?" Kuroko said while trying to think these problems through.

"The only thing that I can save him with is a heart from one of his siblings. Does he have like a brother or sister besides you?" The doctor said.

"No, so doctor, please use me instead!" Kuroko yelled while holding the doctor's coat very tightly.

"What? But you have a big career ahead of you!" He said while trying to make him let go of his coat.

"No, I want him to live he's only 10! He has like 40 more years to live!" Kuroko yelled while walking towards the operation room.

"But-" The doctor tried to say.

"My answer is final! Now hurry up and before it's too late!"

"H-hai!" He said.

Kuroko went into the operation room and walked right up to him, his little otouto.

"I am here Tetsuya, please survive for me," He said while holding his hands.

He heard the doctor come inside the room and he had an extra bed with him.

"Mr. Kuroko please lie down on this bed," He said calmly.

"Hai," Kuroko said while leaving the bed that Tetsuya laid on.

Kuroko went onto the bed and the doctor rolled Kuroko by Tetsuya.

"Doctor, may I please hold his hand for a little while?" Kuroko asked while looking towards Tetsuya.

"But you won't be holding his hand when you put the mask on because you-" The doctor mentioned but got cut off.

"That's why I said for a little while," He said while looking at him angrily.

"Um well...sure," The doctor said while getting things ready for the transplant.

Kuroko smiles and then he holds Tetsuya's hand. The doctor waited a little while and then he gave me a mask.

"Please otouto fulfill our destiny," He said while getting the mask on his face.

With the mask on Kuroko's face it was just a little while until he fell into a deep sleep never waking up again.
