A new Detective takes the place of Stabler. Olivia is sent on a 1000 mile journey after discovering a murder victim that bears connections with her new partner. Is the new guy hiding something?
The Reckoning
Chapter One: New Partner
I walked into the SVU, my first time in New York. Immediately I come face to face with a blonde woman, "Excuse me," I say politely "I'm looking for Detective Olivia Benson. I'm Stabler's replacement."
The woman looked me over, "Alex Cabot, ADA. Olivia's in her office. Follow me." Alex led me through several cubical size rooms until we came to a wood door. "Here you are." she said sweetly
As Alex turned and walked away, I heard the door ease open. When I looked back, a woman stood in the doorway, flashing a seductive smile. "Detective Benson I pressume?" I asked
"Yeah, who wants to know?" she replied with a sharp wit. "I'm Detective Benjamin Chrome. I'm your new partner." I smiled back. Her eyes were intoxicating. I extended my hand in a friendly gesture. "A pleasure," Olivia said half-heartedly taking my hand, "Welcome to New York's Special Victims Unit," A fire shown in her eyes, "Just for future reference, the name's Olivia, that understood?" Once again I replied positively.
"I love a woman who is so in charge." I say almost absentmindedly, focusing on her physical attributes more than our conversation. "Relax Chrome. There will come a time where wew can mix business with pleasure," she stroked her abdomen lightly, "But for now, there's work to be done." Olivia led me outside and we got in her car.
En Route to Fifth Avenue 4:45 P.M.
"So what've we got?" I asked, eyeing Olivia's smooth complexion. "Well a murder obviously; involving some sort of sexual assault. Didn't anyone brief you on what this unit specializes in?" She tried not to sound rude but I noted the edge in her tone. "Listen, I know that having a new partner so soon after Stabler's departure wasn't in the cards for you, but I promise to serve you as best I can." She looked at me like I had just struck diamond.
"I'll be sure to hold you to that after we get this murder solved." She giggled despite herself.
