a/n, Hey guys, it's your girl Bianca. So, here's the deal. This is a trilogy of books, twenty chapters long. It will update on Fridays until further notice. Alrighty, here we go!
Disclaimer: Ideas come from all of the books where people are marooned or stranded in the island and wilderness. All the characters come from Divergent.
Chapter one: Tris POV
The camp counselors decided to send us off on a hiking adventure. Now, we're CITs, who are sixteen. You have to be eighteen to be a counselor. The seven of us get along about as well as water and chocolate—that's right, not at all. We're always avoiding each other. The three counselors on this trip with us, Four, Zeke, and Shauna are all very intim%dating. I don't know who thought this up, but I hate them for it.
I pack my bag with a bag of pretzels, two peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches, a bottle of water, my epi pen, sunscreen, allo, (I burn very easily), and a jar of gummy bears for the sweet tooth I know I'll have sometime tonight.
Then I head out to meet Uriah, Marlene, Lynn, Also, Christina, Will, Zeke Shauna and Four by the entrance to the woods. The counselors all wave and cheer us on as we go. Four leads the way deeper and deeper into the woods, and I start to really watch where I put my feet. I can't 'e into contact with ants, beas, or raspberries. That last one's weird, I know, but that's just my body.
The three counselors get into an argument over who should be leading the way, but unfortunately for us, no one thinks to pull out the map until there is not so much as a hint of where we need to go. Four pulls out the map, and swears under his breath. "We're too far from camp to turn around now."
I take the map from him, study it for a moment, and look around carefully. "That way." I say, starting off. I'm positive I'm going the right way, so the others follow, looking curious as to why I'm leading them, instead of Four. All except Four—he just looks relieved.
TIME SKIP
After wondering around the woods for hours, we all plop down in the shade of a tree. Four begins ordering us around, and we all hurry to do as we're told. All except me, that is.
I, instead, empty my backpack, grab the others' and empty them as well. I begin to arrange piles of things, and take stock of our resources.
We have ten bottles of water, a jar of gummy bears, a bag of pretzels, some Dauntless cake that Uriah stole from the kitchens, a can of DP, a box of proutine bars, and a box very berries of some kind. There is no lable on the box, except for Four's name. We also have a first aid kit, blanket, whistle, lotion sunscreen and allo, shampoo, (probably Christina's), my epi pen, and three flashlights. In the final pile, we have a box of matches, a pocket knife, a towel some swim gear, and a jar of rubbing alcohol. Four asks, "What in the hell are you doing?"
"Looking to see what we have. We need to plan if we'll be out here for very long. If I can find a rock that's about the right size, I'll sharpen the knife, and we can use it to carve a trail."
Four looks surprised that I'm able to come up with a plan like this, but what he doesn't know, is that I was a girl scout for years, and before there was a troop in our small town, I was a part of the Boy Scouts with my brother, Caleb. Not that I'd wanted to be in that, but I just couldn't hang around the house and do nothing. That's something my parents never allowed. They are big believers in, "Get off your butt, and do something to help others," ideology, so they shoved me and Caleb together in that troop.
My point? And yes, I do have a point, is that I know what I'm doing, and that might be my only advantage out here, with those people that made my life a living hall back at camp.
a/n: okay, so I know it's short, but I wanted to get the first chapter out as quickly as possible. Forgive me? Oh, and do you think we can get to three reviews? Alrighty,
audios amigos!
Bianca.
