Lena had to struggle to hear, "I'm sorry what?"

"I walked in and there was my stuff all packed and just sitting on my desk," Kara said trying hard not to cry.
"Do you want me to talk to him? It was my idea," Lena said sadly.
"Yeah but I chose to do it," Kara shot back.
"Is there anything I can do?" Lena asked her heart breaking for her friend.
"Bring me more alcohol?" Kara joked.
"You got it," Lena replied as the line went dead.
"Lena?" Kara said as she looked at her phone and saw the call had ended. That was weird she thought as she finished off the bottle.
Lena was in line Noonan's when she heard her name; she turned to see no other than Snapper Carr standing behind her.
"Miss Luther how are you doing this fine evening?" he grunted.
Lena seethed with anger as she looked the man up and down, "I'm actually not doing so well," she shot back.
Snapper looked surprised at her anger, "oh?"
"You see this food is for my best friend, you may know her Kara Danvers?"
Snapper didn't say a word as he waited for the CEO to finish speaking.
"She is the best reporter you could have ever hoped for and she posted the blog only because I suggested it and she knew it would save countless lives which it did." Lena seethed as she paid the cashier before grabbing her stuff and leaving a puzzled Snapper behind.
Kara was lying on the couch when a knock echoed through the apartment, she moaned as she struggled to get up and answer the door, "Lena?" she questioned when she saw the CEO standing there with a bag of food and a bottle of wine.

"What brings you to my area?" Kara asked as she stumbled back to the couch.
"Well someone requested more alcohol," Lena replied as she held up the wine.

Lena smiled back as she pulled out pot stickers and cinnamon buns, "for you."
"Lena you didn't have to do this," Kara said as she took the plate of food Lena made her.
"I wanted to, you're my best friend and I feel slightly responsible for you being fired."

Lena blushed, "that alcohol really makes you bold," Lena laughed as she pulled back a little to look at the blushing hero.
"Yeah it does," she responded as she continued to blush.
Lena suddenly frowned will she remember all this in the morning?
"What's wrong?" Kara asked as she cupped Lena's cheek.

"It wore off ten minutes ago, it's supposed to help us get drunk and feel the buzz humans feel. But it also makes us bolder, and that tends to last a bit longer," Kara explained.
Lena leaned in and kissed her deeply as she stood up and pulled Kara with her into the bathroom, "good," she said as she led her to the bathtub. The two women took their time as they undressed each other as the water ran.
"You're so beautiful," Kara said as she held her hand out for Lena, who smiled as she took it allowing the hero to help her into the warm water.

"Are you mad at me?" Kara asked gently her voice breaking at the end as tears welled up in her eyes.
"Yes honestly I am," Alex said as she closed the door and folded her arms glaring at her sister angrily.

Alex looked between the two woman before laughing, causing her sister to frown.

"I'm sorry it was a lame joke," Alex said as she slid into the barstool opposite where Kara was standing still glaring at her sister.
"So you're really not mad about me and Lena?" Kara asked gently as she relaxed into Lena's embrace as the young Luther wrapped her up in a hug from behind.
"I'm not but if she hurts you they won't find the body," Alex warned as she gave Lena a pointed glare.

"I can make us some," Lena offered.

Lena smiled as she nodded yes, "I took a lot of classes the Luther's always pushed us."
"Well get to it woman," Alex joked as she grabbed her keys and headed for the door.
"Where are you going?" Kara asked as she began pulling stuff out for Lena.
"To get more coffee you're out," Alex called over her shoulder.
"Thank you!" Lena called back.
