This is about Gwen asking jack what it was like when he died for the time. In the first season.
It was just a boring day at Torchwood for Gwen and the others. They were all eating Chinese when Gwen decides to ask Jack a question.
"What was it like when you died for the first time?" she asked aloud.
The room went silent.
"Excuse me?" Jack asks.
"What was it like when you died for the first time?" she repeated.
"How do you mean?" Jack said.
"What did you feel? What was it like?" she asked.
"Do you really want to know?" he asked, arching a brow.
"We all want to know, Jack. Please…tell us."
Jack hesitated for a few moments then finally, he spoke.
"I felt nothing." He said quietly, "Only darkness. Every moment felt like an eternity." He paused, looking into the memory, a tear jerking at his eye. "Then light flooded my mind…and there she was…calling me back…and I was… Alive." The tear in his eye had now slid down his cheek.
"Who was she? The one was calling you back?" Toshiko asked quietly.
"Rose Tyler." He answered after a few moments. After that he got up and left.
"Do you want me to search her?" Tosh asked Gwen.
"No. No, that's fine." she answered.
The rest of the day went on as usual but something about the name Rose Tyler that triggered something in her mind.
