I was just sitting there, in the bed of my truck, eating pork rinds with my best friend, Ron, when he pulled up. He drove a dark green BMW convertible with 'Hollywood' on the license plate. He had to be thinking, 'This is where rednecks come from.'
He parked his car next to my truck. He stepped out and came close to the bed, leaning on the side. He shielded his eyes from the afternoon sun and gave me this amazing smile. "Hello, I'm lost apparently. I need to find the interstate, think you can help me?"
Ron had to slap me on the back before I realized that I had been staring at the blonde for a while. I smiled back shyly before pointing down the road to the right of us. "Um, you go past the caution light, there's a little country store with an old Coke sign. You gotta stop and ask 'Mione for some of her sweet tea. Then a left will take you to the interstate, but a right will lead you right back here."
He smiled again before turning back to his car. He looked over his shoulder before getting in, said thanks, then got in and drove away down the road.
I had gone into 'Mione's after he left, Ron had decided to go home. I was sitting in one of the old booths in the back against a window, thinking about the blonde I had met earlier, how beautiful he had been. I was kicking myself for not getting his name. I twisted the napkin I had in my hands again and thought, "You fool, that could have been love." I knew that my old Ford couldn't catch up to him and he probably didn't even like me anyway.
I turned to look out the window and froze. He was back! I watched as he parked and made his way into the store. I watched him as he stepped up to the counter and spoke with one of my best friends, Hermione. The girl turned away for a moment and came back with a large glass of sweet tea. Before she handed him the glass, she turned towards me, said something to the blonde, and pushed the glass in his hand.
The man gave her a smile and started towards me. He slid into the booth across from me and held out his hand. "Hello Harry, I'm Draco."
