Ino glared as she threw the poles onto the cloth strewn on the forest floor. She looked over to see how Neji was fairing and his tent, to her immediate anger and envy, was up perfectly.
It seemed that Neji had already turned in for the night and Ino was frustrated. It had to have been one of the most awkward missions she had ever been on.
The mission itself was a success but post-mission was unbearable for Ino. She liked to talk about a mission afterward but Neji would not have any of it. Every time she started some small talk, he would shut her down. They absolutely nothing in common, the mission notwithstanding.
Ino pouted as she felt a drop of water on her nose. She looked up to notice it was starting to rain. She gathered up the remnants of her tent and her gear, promptly breaking into Neji's tent.
Once in the tent, Ino put her gear and tent aside as she closed the tent securely.
"What are you doing?"
Ino turned to see Neji sitting cross-legged, giving her a look of indifference. "My tent wouldn't go up, I'm using yours," she paused for a moment, "And since you've been such an ass to me, you can take first watch. I'll sleep in here and you wake me for my shift."
Neji stood and exited the tent without any protest. Ino's face reddened in anger and she threw the closest object, Neji's bag and out tumbled a hairbrush.
Ino blinked. She guessed it made sense he had a hairbrush, he did have longer hair then plenty of girls in Konoha, herself included. But the thing that puzzled her was the brush was the same as one sitting on her dresser at home.
Ino broke into a fit of giggles. After a moment, composed herself. She took the hairbrush off the floor and left the tent to join Neji.
"So, did ya know we have the same hairbrush in common?" She stated holding said hairbrush as she sat next to Neji, thinking, that's one thing we have in common.
