Holding Torment

One shot

Cloud looked down at his comrades face and could no longer suppress his feelings. He knew that, he wouldn't allow himself to keep on living if he did. The warm dark liquid slid slowly down his hands like the feeling was meant to last. It comforted Cloud to know that he wasn't spending another night alone. No, because Zack was with him. Sometimes, his feelings toward the other man were so overwhelming that Cloud couldn't deal with them. He didn't want to lose Zack, but everything is lost at one point. He felt himself becoming numb, as stiff as his friend. Though the rain was pouring, Cloud paid no attention to it, because it was tedious and of no importance to him. All that mattered to him at that moment was Zack. Nothing else ever mattered.

" Why must you be so quiet?" He asked.

" You usually have a lot to say. Is there nothing left to be spoken about or are you refusing to speak with me?" Cloud slowly moved a strand of hair out of Zack's face.

" You amaze me. Even at your coldest your still shining brighter then the sun. What makes you so perfect? What makes me so flawed? How I envy you. I would give anything to be in your position right now."

Cloud hadn't expected it to end this way. Never. He knew, that if it wasn't for him, Zack would still be breathing. Why did Zack have to be so selfless? Why did Cloud have the privilege of knowing such and amazing person? He knew, he didn't deserve anything Zack had given him. Not even a small glance.

" Oh, Zack. Why must you be so fair? Ironic, isn't it?" Cloud smirked.

He looked at Zack intently. " We're best friends right? So, keep my secrets safe."

Cloud gazed toward the sky. " I've never felt so empty, yet so complete at the same time. You do that to me."

" Life has been my burden to carry. What a curse that has put on me."

There was no happier moment in Clouds life then being with Zack right now. He wanted to steals Zack's pain and make sure he was ok. The stars have taken a different direction of course and didn't follow Clouds plans out. Zack is Clouds world. Never had Cloud felt so important until he met Zack. Cloud had not a single companion and that had all changed, because of Zack.

" You know what the thing I long for most Zack?" Cloud' eyes became glassy.

" I long to die."

" To be with you."

Cloud just wanted to be with Zack.

He then looked down at his friends face. " Don't leave me behind. Please, Zack."

Cloud then picked up his gun and put it to his head. " Release my torment."

End.

This is something small that I felt I had to write. It's midnight for me right now and I'm tired. -- Sleepy.
