The alarm rang loudly causing Aaron to groan. He smacked it and pulled the quilt up over his head. "Just five more minutes" he thought to himself getting back to be cosey.

"Erm, I don't think so!" And he felt the quilt come off causing him to shiver.

"Oi! What's wrong with you, it's freezing!" And he pulled the quilt back over him.

Robert frowned at him whilst buttoning up his shirt. "You do realise you have to get up like five minutes ago, right?"

Aaron groaned again. "Cold."

"Just wear one of your unlimited supply of hoodies and an ugly bobble hat. You'll be fine."

"I don't own an ugly bobble hat."

Robert gave him a look. "Bobble hats are ugly."

"Says the guy with floral shirts."

Robert scoffed. "You love my floral shirts."

"Yeah when they're on the floor."

"Aaron Dingle. Are you flirting with me?" He said grinning.

"Robert Sudden" Aaron mimicked. "We're getting married. I think I'm allowed to flirt with you."

Robert walked over and put his arms around Aaron. "I guess I can't argue with that." He kissed Aaron on the cheek.

This silly morning routine may seem just that, silly, but to the two of them it was everything. No, they didn't have a place to call their own yet and yes, they were still in a far too crowded pub but to be able to wake up next to each other and just be together was special in itself.

They both couldn't believe how far they had come in such a short amount of time. They were happy. Robert never thought he could be himself. He had spent so long hiding that part of him even from himself. Aaron had changed him for the better. Aaron made him a better person. Sure he still did stupid stuff; he wouldn't be Robert if he didn't. And Aaron. This was the happiest he'd ever been. He'd accepted everything that had happened to him. Everything in his past. He'd accepted himself and he'd accepted Robert. He was glad that he'd let him in. Aaron always had trust issues in general but he could rely on Robert to be there for him. This was all that he wanted.

They were both now ready for the day ahead; Aaron at the scrapyard and Robert doing business deals for Home James. They headed out the pub hand in hand. Whilst they weren't totally about the PDA; since they had gotten engaged, they felt a lot more comfortable showing their affection in public.

As they headed their separate ways they parted with a quick hug and smiled to themselves. No, life wasn't perfect, but this; this was good enough.
